Codemasters has officially announced three new Overlord games for 2009. The first is Overlord II, a direct sequel for both PS3 and Xbox360. For the Nintendo Wii, there will be Overlord: Dark Legend, and for the Nintendo DS, there will be a puzzle-action title called Overlord: Minions. Both the Nintendo games will feature unique motion control. It seems the original game sold well enough to warrant three more titles! Click read more for the full info.

Hard to believe, but Codemasters has released a patch for the PS3 GRiD game that actually causes more issues. Apparently on PAL PS3 units, it makes letters in words in the menus disappear, as you can see by the images at the link. Oh boy.

One user even made a video to support his claim. Codemasters is said to be prepping a patch, but that is rumor at this point. Click the link for the Codemasters forum, and see the video below.

It seems like Codemasters is more or less lockign down the video game racing genre. The off-road game DiRT was spectacular, their arcade racer GRiD is being released soon, and the demo proved great, and now, they have secured the Formula 1 license. There will be a Codemasters F1 game in 2009, apparently, and if it continues along their current trend, it should be fantastic as well. Click read more for the full info.

Codemasters are quickly becoming the top arcade variety race game makers in the industry. With the acquisition of the recently closed Sega Racing Studio, chances are that CM will now be the people to beat when it comes to racers. DiRT was fantastic, and the upcoming GRiD looks even better. Not to mention the inevitable sequels.

Codemasters upcoming racer GRiD just looks better and better every time we get more media. This new video shows off one of the F1-style races in the game, at the famous Le Mans track. We really hope the playability holds up in this spiritual successor to the late Colin McRae's DiRT, another great game.
