Universal and Fox agreed to co-finance the Halo movie a couple of months back, but now it seems like it's "curtains" for both of their support. Rumors say it was because the film has exceeded it's max budget of $200 million somehow. Uwe Boll's latest celluloid abortion Bloodrayne stinks so much that apparently some theatres will not even show it. According to a report on Variety's website and recapped by Gamespot, the movie was sent out to over 1900 movie houses, most who did not even ask for it, and ended up being shown in less than 1000. Uwe, if you are reading this, I hate you for ruining one of my favorite fictional game characters.

Colin Farrel and Jamie Foxx are going to be the 2 lead characters in the new upcoming Miami Vice movie heading to the big screen. The trailer seems promising, but hopefully will bring back some roots from the old tv shows back in the day. A day or two ago the net was abuzz with rumors that Guillermo del Toro was signed on to direct the Halo movie, and he left the Hellboy 2 project to do it. Good for Halo, bad for Hellboy. Well it turns out, as with most net rumors, that this is just not true. Well, it is half-true. He is currently in talks with the Halo crew to discuss the possibility of directing the movie, but he will not give up Hellboy to do it. Heopfully this decent director will be able to do both.

There is a new Silent Hill movie teaser trailer that has hit the net. The trailer looks very creepy, we cannot wait for the actual movie release. Now if Konami would just announce Silent Hill 5!

Late last week the net was on fire with rumors about the director of the Halo movie being Guillermo del Toro, the director of Hellboy. Not such a bad thing if true. Unfortunately, it is not so. Peter Jackson, the excutvie producer of the movie, has stated that no director has been chosen yet. He said they are "talking to some people" but no decision has been made.
