In the latest Blizzard Podcast, the lead designer Jay Wilson revealed that the game is in full swing production. Right now, the team is focused on content, content, content, it seems, while the art team is on to the second act already. Great news, maybe we will not have to wait until 2010 after all.

"A lot of the team is really production focused now and we're generating content for the most part; a lot of the tech and underlying engine is really solid," Wilson said.

If you remember, a German Tech website had quoted David Reeves himself as stating that Mirror's Edge would be a Playstation 3 times exclusive. This came as a bit of a shock to a lot of gamers, as there were many looking forward to the title on PC & Xbox360. "According to Reeves, Mirrors Edge will initially be exclusively released for the PS3 this year. PC and Xbox 360 versions will follow much later."

EA, the publisher of the upcoming Dice-made game, have come out to say that the statement made by the SCEE top dog is false as far as they know. Mirror's Edge will be shipping for Xbox360, PC, & PS3 this Winter, simultaneously. Great news, sorry Sony.

Dice Exec Producer Ben Cousins has revealed the plans to gradually roll out BF Heroes. Dice is apparently going to gradually increase the beta member count until, one day, they simply say, this is retail! There won't be a "big splash" release, says Cousins. How to get into the beta now? No word yet, but keep an eye out.

"We're not going to turn on a switch one day and suddenly our audience gets 100 times bigger," he explained. "It's really our plan, within the closed beta, to get a very high number of peak concurrent users and we expect in the later phases of the closed beta to be about as big as Bad Company is today in terms of online numbers.

Id Software CEO Todd Hollenshead has stated that PC manufacturers secret policy of piracy acceptance is the industry's "dirty little secret." According to Hollenshead, PC devs are happy behind closed doors with the levels of piracy, as it helps to sell PC hardware. We tend to agree, which is why you do not see much hardware-based piracy solutions. Interesting huh?
