Capcom has posted a blog update on SSF2HD. There are a few screenshots included, as well as new info. The game is based on the Dreamcast port, believe it or not. The developer claims that the DC port was arcade perfect though, and only a few of the "dip swtiches" were set to their non-defatul positions. He claims they basically set those switches back and made SSF2HD. We will see, I suppose. (Thanks Stiego)

The first media and previews of SSF2HD are starting to surface, which likely means the game's release should be soon. As you can see and read, the game is shaping up to be a very nice update to an all-time classic. You can mark our words here at GR when we tell you that this is what we expect Street Fighter IV to be like, and that what Capcom learns from SSF2HD will guide them in coding SFIV.

The first video of SF2HD for XBox Live Arcade has been leaked on the net. It is a bit of a shakycam vid, but you can see it well enough. (Thanks, TravisH)

Holy cow folks, SSF2 HD keeps getting better and better. Now, images of the sprites (character model animations, for those who don't know what a sprite is) have been released and put side by side with the old SF2 sprites. The difference is startling, to say the least. This version of SSF2 is going to be insane, and hopefully it will lead to many more re-drawn Capcom 2D-ers. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 please?

While not exactly an in-game image, 1up has an image of SSF2THD from XBLA. The image is just of Ken, but 1up claims that if you hit pause and pulled out the background, that is exactly what the game would look like. Let's hope so!

According to Racketboy.com, a confidential Capcom slide was leaked from a recent presentation which shows off just how good Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD is going to look. if we are to believe the image, the game will look twice as good as Guilty Gear, and we all know how good high-res sprites look when animated well. If the game ends up looking even half as good as the slide promises, it will be the best looking 2D fighter in history, hands down. Rumor mill for now.
