Capcom must be working very hard on the new Street Fighter because, according to IGN, the game will be playable in at a month at the Amusement Expo 2008. Stay tuned for more details as the date approaches!

New images and info about Street Fighter IV have appeared in the most recent issue of Famitsu, and we have them for you! The biggest news is that a brand spankin' new character is revealed! Her name is Crimson Viper (assuming we translated correctly), and she looks like a cross between SNK's Vanessa and the singer Pink! If anyone can translate some more info on her fighting style from the images, please comment!

Courtesy of 1up, the first footage of Street Fighter IV has been released. In their SF4 special, as you can see below, it is exactly what we thought. Capcom is taking 3D bubbly animation, and jamming it into a 2D control system. This is going to be pretty hard to pull off, but if done correctly, it may be great. (Thanks, Lethial, Gregsnk)

Well, we found a small website with two more screens from Street Fighter IV! These screenshots give us a much better idea of just how the 2D/3D action will work! Holy cow! Let's hope this is not another SF EX, but wow is it beautiful! If the site goes down, let us know, we have the screens saved!

According to NextGen, when chatting with a Capcom rep yesterday, the rep revealed that come tomorrow, we may find out just what the game will look like. Exciting! When asked just what the game is going to look like, Capcom's Chris Kramer said "You'll find out Thursday."
