The production company behind the upcoming movie adaptations of Tekken and Castlevania has secured 200mil in financing for five films. According to Variety, Crystal Sky pictures inked the deal with Grosvenor Park for five films. Hopefully this will give the movies that much more chance at being good.

Some details from the upcoming Tekken movie have been revealed, and SDTekken has them. We can pretty much guess what this movie wil lbe like as of now, but it will be fun to watch what really happens.

Joystiq got the chance to speak with the legendary Tomonobu Itagaki, the man behind the Dead or Alive series. He spoke a bit about Code Chronus, the new DoA title, although he did not reveal anything about Ninja Gaiden 2. He even went on to say that Tekken sucks!

According to gamefront, Katsuhiro Harada, producer of the popular Tekken series, would like to make a Tekken vs. Virtua Fighter game. In an interview with "G wie Gorilla.de," arada answers: ' I would make such a thing with the Virtua Fighter series actually gladly times. We already thought that we could do something with the Virtua Fighter series on Dreamcast years ago together with the Virtua Fighter team. Unfortunately we couldn't make it at that time." Encouraging news!

Katsuhiro Harada got the chance to speak to one Japanese publication about the possibilities for Tekken 6 on the Playstation3. The tilt sensor functionality is still in development, but he does illustrate on how the feature might be used in-game.

More PS3 screeny goodness for you today. Tekken 6 looks good, but it certainly has lost a bit since last year's E3 target render. Still looks like a ton of fun though.

Namco has officially announced the title we have all known are coming. On top of that they have officially announced that the game will be showing at this year's E3. Click read more for the full press info.

An interesting tidbit of info was released to us today when we spoke with Pat Lisfirr, one of our Sony PR contacts. Now we know that the reliability of info from PR contacts is not the best, but we bring it to you nonetheless. According to Pat, Sony is planning to release Tekken 6 as a Playstation 3 launch title. We all saw the Tekken demo at least year's E3. This would be a system seller, for sure.

Namco sedns along the first official screens from Tekken 5: Dark Ressurectino for the PSP. The game looks good, and you can certainly see it better than the scans we posted yesterday. Click on the news title for the full info and screens.

Bringing the pain to the portable system, TEKKEN: Dark Resurrection boasts two brand new characters, Lili and Dragunov, whose unique fighting styles and new moves will bring new blood to the ring as they go up against an impressive line up of classic TEKKEN characters, including the return of Armor King. Fighting fans are in for a new TEKKEN challenge as the opening movie sets the stage for the new characters to join the ranks of those who pursue the title of the King of the Iron Fist Tournament.

Apparently now a PSP only tile, T5 Dark Res is looking good on the handheld. You can see by the images that the game does really look quite impressive for the handheld, the scans are a bit blurry but they are certainly viewable. Hopefully if this does well Namco will pull a GTA Lib City and port it to PS2. Click on the news title to see the images.
