SCi, the company who is constantly looking to be bought out, has once again ended buyout talks, this time with "various interested parties." This reportedly included Time Warner and an unnamed Chinese company, but SCi says it has not received a formal offer in appropriate time. ALmost as a punishment to gamers for the non-buyout, SCi has pushed back the Eidos game Tomb Raider Underworld. The game is now slated for Q4 2008. Oh well.

According to Eidos exec Ian Livingstone OBE, there is a new Tomb Raider game in the works for next-gen consoles. Apparently, this game "is like watching television", and speaking of video, Livingstone also revealed that another big screen outing for Lara Croft is also in the works. The TR films have taken in about half a billion dollars worldwide since the first movie was released, and that is a ton of dough to give up without trying for a hat trick.

Eidos has announced a brand new Tomb Raider game for PS2, PSP, and PC. The game, titled Tomb Raider Anniversary, is due out in 2007, and is "inspired" by the original Tomb Raider PS1 game. Despite this, Eidos claims the game will be a totally new Lara adventure. Click read more for the full info.

According to CVG, there is a Tomb Raider Anniversary game in the works over at Crystal Dynamics. Originally it was reported that the game was cancelled but that turned out to be false.

It seems that Paramount has optioned Angellina for a third Tomb Raider movie. The plan is to start the project after she gives birth to the baby she is currently having with Brad Pitt. Hopefully third time's the charm.

According to a press release this morning, Eidos has reached the #1 sales spot in the UK with Tomb Raider Legend. The game is scheduled for release here in the US today, so we will see how it fares. Click read more for the full press info.

Well, it is a day late, but the Tomb Raider Legend XBox360 demo is now avilable for download on the marketplace. Grab it before it gets hammered to death.
