The PS3 news keeps on coming today, probably due to the fact that the Sony Gamer's Day event happened in the last 24 hours. Virtua Tennis PS3 will feature mini-games online, a world tour mode, and a variety of staduims and over 20 world class tennis stars. The PS3 will also feature use of the tilt mode of the SixAxis control pad. Players will be able to spin, lob, and slice the ball with a simple flick of the wrist. If the Resistance: Fall Of Man tilt function is any indication, VTennis's tilt may work fairly well.

According to a Finnish website, the PS3 version of Virtua Tennis 3 will not feature an online mode. Apparently, Producer Mie Kumagai from Sega said that Sony has not delivered the necessary information about their online network to make coding the online mode possible. Rumor mill for now, but since this exaclty scenario happened with Tony Hawk's Project 8 as well, we believe it.

According to Dutch gaming website ps3party.nl, Sega has announced that the PS3 version of Virtua Tennis 3 will support the 1080p HDTV format. This is in contrast to a previous report which stated that there would be no 1080p PS3 games for a while to come. The article also claims that VT3 will be released in March of next year in Europe, most likely alongside the PS3 at launch. Rumor mill for now until we can get a second source confirmation on this.

Sega has released screens from four of their upcoming Playstation 3 games. Three you have likely heard of already, one of them though may be new to you, Sega Golf Club. The golf game actually looks pretty decent, though we doubt it will see a stateside release. Still though, if the PS3 holds to be region-free, it will be nice to have a non-super-deformed option for golf on the PS3.
