Ubisoft Boss Yves Guillemot has stated in an interview with Gamedaily that Tom Clancy games will be making their way to the Nintendo Wii. Ubisoft apparently wants to make sure that the games both play and look good, he stated. It will be interesting to see how Ubisoft makes Clancy games fun using the motion control.

"We have engines that were created for the next-generation consoles. We had to re-engineer a certain number of engines to be sure we could use the quality of the machine. Even without the [high-end] graphics, the experience can still be very interesting," he continued.

The new Animal Crossing game, City Folk, will be released with a bit of a different name down under. The game, now rated G, is called Animal Crossing: Let's go to the City. Interesting, but certainly not as catchy as City Folk. Just FYI, folks, it is not a totally different game, when you hear about it.

Simon Fox, a representative from HMV, told The Sun recently that while music sales will account for just one quarter of sales, while video games will account for almost 20% of total sales, and sell more every month. This is not surprising, of course, as retail music sales have been dying for a while, but it is nice to see that video games are finally big enough to be able to swing its weight around to better the lives of us gamers!

According to Reggie Fils-Aime, the NOA boss, the company is working on a better storage solution for the Wii. The solution may or may not involve a hard drive, but we all know the Wii's miniscule 512mb of built in memory is near-worthless. Add-on cards can be a partial solution, but moving items back and forth from the card due to the inability to run the games and channels from said card make things ridiculously time consuming and complicated. Reggie, in an interview with Latin America's official Nintendo Magazine called Club Nintendo, said that a solution is being prepped at the moment, but it may not be a hard drive. Oh, yeah, Miyamoto also mentioned in the mag that a new Zelda is in the works, but it is not ready to be shown yet. Interesting.

"We are working on a storage solution and it is especially important in America because our consumers are using Wii Points for the Virtual Console and WiiWare. I want the people to have the right expectations; We have never said that it will be a hard drive nor have we mentioned how we will fix this issue, but we are going to deliver a better way to store the games,"
