According to Eurogamer, the UK Nintendo Press Office has announced that Warioland: The Shake Dimension will be released for the Wii on September 26, at least in Europe. This should make for a nice back-to-school time, it comes along with a slew of other Wii games like Brothers in Arms and Manhunt 2, a few weeks prior.

The Wii version will apparently support the zapper gun peripheral in Call of Duty 5. Treyarch confirmed this to CVG today, when Senior Producer Noah Heller said that the Nintendo console version is being worked on by a separate, in-house team. That should make the Wii edition worth a separate buy, it sounds like!

In case you missed it, the new edition of Samba De Amigo on the Wii is coming along nicely, and IGN got the chance to go hands-on with the current build. In fact, IGN calles it "brilliant," which is high praise. The main concern was whether or not the game would actually work wel with the Wiimote, and a few months ago, it just wasn't. Well, things have changed apparently, and now it works incredibly well. What a difference a few months make huh?

Having ignited an uproar with his comment that only "geeks and otaku" were worried about storage space on the Wii, Nintendo's Laurent Fischer has now moved to reassure consumers that Nintendo is working on the Wii storage issue. Rumors of an external hard drive were put to rest by Fischer though, so that does not seem like the road Nintendo is taking. We would think all they have to do is enable the Wii to run right off the SD Card whatever VC/WiiWare/Channels the user has stored there, but we also know this could make for a huge issue in terms of piracy. Talking to GI, in his first real interview since the no-infamous comment, Fischer said:

"We definitely detect that they [gamers] are serious and we know there is an issue in this, so it's something that we're working on," he told GamesIndustry.biz.

That'll teach him to call us names, hey fellow geeks and otaku? Our SD cards are overflowing since we try almost everything out there. After all, it is our job here, remember?

Following those Forza 3 and other Xbox360 game info leaks, a Nintendo official has spoken up about the company's E3 plans. Speaking to GamePro, director of Nintendo public relations Marc Franklin said “We will be announcing several new titles that core gamers will be interested in around the time of E3." Also, in response to the criticism that Nintendo has recently been too focused on casual gamer, Franklin also said “The clear majority of people waiting in line outside retailers on Sunday mornings to buy their Wii consoles are core gamers.”

Well it seems the latest Nintendo Wii console update makes the "Twilight Hack" obsolete. People were using this exploit to run homebrew code on the system, and apparently Nintendo has had enough. The update also made it so you can now move your Miis into your Mii Parade. Rumor mill until we get a few more confirmations, but apparently, users are saying Freeloader is now useless. Check the link below for the image to read the message for yourself that the console gives before the update, and do not update if you run homebrew until this information is more widely understood and verified! There are reports of consoles becoming useless after the update.
