XCM XFPS Pro

We reviewed the XCM XFPS device recently, and it turned out to be a real solid piece of equipment. The device allows the use of a keyboard and mouse on the Microsoft Xbox360. There were certain areas where the XFPS lacked, but XCM decided to fix these and release the XFPS Pro. Since the Pro model is basically the same as the model we already reviewed, this will be a mini-review that deals with the updated features of the XFPS Pro device.

The first change you will notice upon opening the XFPS Pro is the color. XCM has decided to make the Pro immediately identifiable and thus made the plastic casing white instead of the original XFPS’ black color. Personally, I think this looks much better than the original. XCM Products always have very quality plastic casing and molding. That is something that is ever-present in most XCM products I have reviewed or previewed.

The main reason that XCM produced the Pro version of the XFPS was because there were some issues created due to the wide range of mice available today. There was no way to adjust the sensitivity of the device in the original design. That is all taken care of with the XFPS Pro. Now, as you can see by the images, the device has both X and Y sensitivity adjust dials built right in. Now, any mouse that you use with the XFPS Pro can be tuned to perfection for use with any game. You can even adjust it on the fly during play.

XCM seems to have addressed one of the major issues with the XFPS device with the updated Pro version. The sensitivity adjust makes the device so much more adaptable than the original design, it is now useable with almost any game out there (for Xbox360). Not to mention that the price of the device is up to $25 USD less than the original XFPS. For what the device provides, the total is now inside an acceptable range. All in all, the XFPS Pro’s price and added features make it much more of a definite buy than the original XFPS. I can now recommend the XFPS for purchase as long as you can obtain the Pro edition.
