For those who did not get the email, Sony has changed the Terms of Service for the PSN network system. We are sure this has to do with the new movie and TV download service that launched on the PS3 today. We are not what specifically changed, but we are going over it with a fine-toothed comb as we speak.

Just in case you missed it, PSN accounts are now linkable to Playstation.com. You can use this, we assume, in future, to share stats and the like.

Just a quick heads up, folks, the 4.05 firmware for PSP will apparently be released soon, if it is not up already. The update will add a music playback visualizer, among other things.

Sir Howard Stringer, the CEO of Sony, played the Wii recently and spoke with Bloomberg.com. He then went on to call the Wii an "expensive nice game device," and touted the PS3 as the best Blu-Ray player out there. Expensive? Oh boy.

`I don't see it as a competitor. It's more of an expensive niche game device. We're selling a lot of PlayStation 3s now and it's still the best way to buy a Blu-ray player.'

The Xbox360 price cut is official come Sunday (according to Gamestop internal documents, that is), but will the PS3 follow suit? According to the Sony CFO, that's a negative. Nobuyuki Oneda, Sony’s chief financial officer, spoke to investors early this morning at the Nomura Asia Equity forum in Singapore. He reiterated that profitability on the console takes precedence over quantity, meaning they want to make money at this point instead of getting a larger installed user base. Sounds wrong to us, but who knows.

"Our strategy is not to sell more quantity for PS3 but to concentrate on profitability," stated Oneda. "Our plan is not to reduce the price."

Sony will fix your PS32 unit free if the 2.40 update broke your console. According to PS3Fanboy, Sony will repair any console bricked by the update free of charge, although there are supposed to be not that many affected.

"Our Consumer Services department is working directly with any impacted PS3 users, and, if it's determined that they were affected solely by the 2.40 issue, then their units will be repaired or exchanged at no cost. SCEA stands behind its products and always works to ensure the best possible consumer experience."
