According to Japanese Excite, Nintendo has huge plans for the DS Lite. Within the 3 weeks from launch this March, Nintendo plans to sell 500,000 units. After that Nintendo expects fully to move over 1 million more units. It looks like Nintendo is going to put a DS in every last hand in Japan.

It is a thing with the full number of the shipment in March. It is 500,000 at the level for two weeks from March 2 for the time being.

I hear that the target is fully one million in March afterwards. However, the difficult point is one. As rumored beforehand Lining up in the major discount house shop basically is major. Only half of share the level seems usually to be shipped to a general retail store.
