Batphone: The Legend of Zelda EP

The third track is the Lost Woods from A Link to the Past. Maybe it's the pulse monitor effect added throughout the arrangement, but I feel like I'm sneaking around through a creepy hospital instead of a creepy, misty forest. This track shines when the original melody is playing in its rearranged glory, but the slower filler sections feel like, well, filler.

The fourth track is Hyrule Temple from The Adventure of Link. This track has the least personality of all the tracks, despite having a portion that sounds like it comes straight from the NES version and creating a somewhat creepier atmosphere than expected. There's not much to say here except that I wanted to hear the personal touches that Batphone added to the other tracks but didn't get any here.

The fifth track is the Fairy's Spring from The Twilight Princess. The end of it gets scary, and I can only assume it means the heavy fairy from the Dark World of A Link to the Past is lurking around somewhere.

Overall, the different styles arranged into each track don't merge together very well. The rearrangements change the mood of the source material, but the new mood has no clear direction and not much is added to the original tracks. The things that get me excited about hearing rearrangements just aren't here.
