The new Super Mario Brothers for Wii is "pretty difficult" says the man himself, Shigeru Miyamoto. At a press event in NYC yesterday, Joystiq's hands-on demo was a paltry performance, it seems. Also, by earning the super coins hidden on each level, you can unlock videos such as one that shows you how to obtain infinite 1ups, and other hints.

In the latest edition of Iwata Asks, Nintendo main man Satoru Iwata spoke with Miyamoto himself to ask about Wii Fit Plus. Miyamoto claims that it is not a sequel, but rather an "enhanced version" of the original. This means that even though there are 20 or more new exercises, it also streamlines the interface of the first. This is basically a DLC add-on, without the "DL" part, folks. Enjoy.

The Wii peripheral craze is starting to get out of control. Now, Bigben Interactive has announced an exercise Bike peripheral for the Wii. The Cyberbike lets users cycle along paths and roads, clearing up sources of pollution along the way. You can ride through 18 different circuits, and numerous accessories are unlocked as you progress. Sounds like fun, and up to four players can participate, if you have four bikes, we suppose.

Nintendo America boss Reggie Fils-Aime said that he believes the Wii price cut will "nudge" millions of new users who were previous on the fence. "The consumer response has been very strong to the price reduction," Reggie said, but added it is too soon to release sales figures. We are sure the price cut has indeed made many buy the Wii, but we think the real increase will show during the holiday season.

Warren Specter had hinted he was working on a game like this, and now, the new cover story from Game Informer more or less confirms it.
