Samurai Champloo has been on TV now for a while, most of the team behind Cowboy Bebop works on the anime. Now, of course, Bandai is set to capitalize on the publicity with a Playstation 2 game themed on the popular show. Will it be as good as .hack? Will Mugen, Jin, and Fuu be as charming on a console as they are on screen? Hopefully. Click on the news title for the screens.

Square has posted a new video on the official Kingdom Hearts II Japanese website. The video confirms Lilo & Stitch as characters, and the game is still looking amazing. Once you visit the website click on the only orange button to enter the site. Select on the last (bottom) option on the menu bar. Then click on the currently highlighted camera icon labeled as PV somthing. Wait for the vid to load (very slow, but worth it). The quality is not the best, but it is watchable.

Ubisoft and Square have just reached an agreement for the publishing of Darkengard 2 in North America. Drakengard 2 is a role-playing action game featuring knights and dragons that builds on the scenario of the original title. Released in Japan last June it topped Japanese sales charts and selling more than 100,000 copies in its first week of release. Now North American gamers get to play this great title as well.Today Ubisoft, one of the world’s largest video game publishers, announced that it has signed an exclusive publishing deal with Square Enix™ to bring DRAKENGARD® 2 to North America and Europe. Under the agreement, Ubisoft will distribute DRAKENGARD® 2 for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system.

We have just received a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts II taken from what appears to be a demo booth at a live event. You can see in the demo that Stitch is finally confirmed, and kiddie FFX-2 Yuna and Rikku show up as well. Click on the news title for the video.

RPG Land has reviewed the new Wild Arms game, Wild Arms: Alter Code F. This new game is the latest in the popular (with fans) Wild Arms series, but this one only gets a 7.5. The story is the same as the original's with a rewritten script according to the site, whatever that means I'll let you figure out.

Activision has announced that its licensing deal with Marvel Comics has been extended, giving the publisher the right to produce games based on the X-Men and Spider-Man franchises until 2017. Hey at least it wasn't EA thanks god. Click read more for the whole press release.
Activision, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) and Marvel Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: MVL) jointly announced today that the companies have expanded their long-term, broad-based strategic alliance by signing a multi-year extension to their current video game licensing agreements for the Spider-ManTM and X-MenTM franchises through 2017. This agreement replaces all previous agreements between the companies.

It seems that THQ has now gotten in on the Conan license. It was announced earlier this year that Funcom would be developing an MMO based on the Conan universe. Now console players get to participate in the barbarian action. THQ has signed an agreement with Paradox entertainment to bring Conan to a console near you. At least they aren't doing Red Sonja.

Mark Rein, the CEO of Epic has been in the news a lot lately. First for saying that next-gen games are going to be all graphics, and then for slamming the new Revolution controller. He claims both times he was taken out of context, and he spoke with Eurogamer to clear it all up. Not only that but afterwards they dive into Gears Of War and how it is coming along. Very well apparently, with AI better than even Epic themselves expected.
