According to Viacom, even though sales of Rock Band 2 did not meet expectations, as we told you yesterday, the entire Rock Band franchise has shipped 10 million units. The franchise as a whole has enjoyed great success, it seems, and it ranks as the top game of 2008 by revenue, across all genres. Certainly this is a great achievement, but how much longer will gamers accept the same game over and over, with only new songs added? Likely for a while to come.
