	Sony and Google are talking about building a public WiFi network that would eventually envompass the US. This network currently exists in Bryant Park in new york and one place in San Francisco, and talks are in place to expand this across the country. If anyone can do it, it is Google and Sony. >Link

How pitiful only reason google wants to help sony is because they are going at it with microsoft, but google despite whatever company they decide to team up with is still at a major disadvantage going against microsoft. If microsoft wasn't kept in check by courts on how they could build their software google would already be out of the picture then they'd just be one of many companies trying to take microsoft to court over a monopoly claim.

Ha Ha I find it so funny when the Ms fanboys acome and start complaining, optaviusx google is becoming one of the most powerfull companies now so dont think that microsoft could have ended them so easily, are you aware that without these courts that keep companies in check microsoft would have lost the pc monopoly war along time a go, apple would have finished them of by using thier source code to make apple machines use microsoft products and software and parts of its os to make it more macintosh os usble with all cds. Everyone would switch to apples machine if it they had choice.( except bill gates of course) and neopulse please shut up, its so clear you have no idea of what ure talking about.

Anyway, I've been waiting for a local ISP to spread WiFi over my county for the past 4 years now, and it still hasn't happened. Hell, I was at the town meeting where everyone voted in approval of it, and it's taking forever.

Maybe Google will reach here first, now that they plan to do this.
