Honestly and without any fanboy bias, it looks just like DOA4.

Its not that much more impressive than doa 4 to be honest, but as usual you have to see it running on the actual hardware instead of video or screen to truly appreciate it.

This game uses alot of lighting effects that doa 4 doesn't not because they couldn't simply because they didn't want to look forward to seeing similar lighting etc in the next dead or alive 4 fighting game. Itagaki refuses to add any freckles or anything of the sort to show off technology he feels his characters look as good as he wants them to be.

Doa 4 in its own right is down right impressive. The safari stage or the jungle stage are absolutely gorgeous.

You gotta be kidding me. DOA4 sure looks GREAT (yeah, great, not just nice, I won't deny that), but it has nothing on VF5. They use two totally different artstyles. DOA series has always been anime-ish, while VF more realistic. That's why DOA's models are always very bland, look at the skin texture, always super smooth. VF on the other hand pays much more attention to details. Look at the shadows and clothes. If you can't tell the difference between the two games, you have bad eyes. Though, VF5 if ported to either xbox360 or ps3 won't look as good as what we're seeing though. The lindbergh arcade hardware's more powerful than either.
