Halo 3 Info, Now Called 'Forerunner' >

	A poster over at the offical Xbox.com forums has reproduced the recent Halo 3 article from Game Informer. It is a long article and you can read it yourself but here are the bullet points: -Halo 3 isn't Halo 3 at the moment, it's called "Forerunner." -The game will feature huge environments. -It will be somewhat open ended, a mission where you have to invade and destroy an armory will determine how much weaponry you have for the next mission and how much the opposing forces will have. Sounds clever. - 4 Player co-op will be included. - Apparently a gameinformer source has seen the game in action. He explains that the reason Bungie says there is no Halo 3 is because it will most likely be named "Forerunner" upon its release. April fool's jokes suck.

I'd ignore all of this till we get official word from microsoft or bungie. The game NOT having the halo 3 name would KILL a large number of day one sales.



Then again they'd have to let everyone know that the game they are releasing is indeed a halo game by using the marketplace extensively to deliver us footage of the game so we know whats up and big e3 announcements the works.

I have that game informer and they specifically say that it is not an April Fool's joke. I can't wait till E3 to see what they have in store for us.

HBO: How large a role does the Pillar of Autumn play in the book, and are there other crossover characters besides Cortana and the Master Chief?

EN: (Without giving too much of the story away...) The Pillar of Autumn plays a pivotal role in the Spartans' most important mission in the Halo universe.

As far as crossover characters, there is Cortana and the Master Chief, as well as Captain Keyes, and handful of Marines. Several important characters in the novel never appear in the game, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll never be seen again ...

Old interview next halo and movie will surely be a prequel to halo 1 hence based on the Halo Fall of the Reach Novel. To properly understand what takes place at the end of halo 2 and what will be taking place in halo 3 we have to see the story as it unfolds BEFORE halo 1. Next halo game is based on that novel.

Halo 3 will follow years later probably as late as 2009 or 2010, but before there can be any sort of halo 3 this important period in the universe has to be revisted and it fits perfectly with the movie. What better way to hype the movie by telling people the next halo game will be based on the movie? Have the game come out AFTER the movie though ;)

I mean what took place before halo 1 plays a PIVOTAL role in the spartans' most important mission in the halo universe I'd say thats the makings for a great movie and hit game.

Whoa... guys the next halo could a world of warcraft type game kinda like huxley an MMOFPS halo kinda like huxley that would sell like crazy!
