Well... teamxbox has said that the screenshots don't do the game justice and its really beautiful, but I'm not sure breathtaking is a word I'd use to describe its environments :)

how about 'brown', that describes the environments a little. Hopefully there isn't a sub standard draw distance :(

The enviroments look plain boring. :| The mechs look great though.

Okay, I doubt you're going to read the Heavenly Sword news again. The trailer shown at last years E3 from HS was REAL TIME FOOTAGE from the actual game, just put together in a way that made the trailer look like a movie. The developers have said it numerous times. Of course it WAS running on a powerful PC, but then, so were all Xbox 360 games at E3 05 too. They begun making a prototype years ago, so they didn't just come up with cool looking stuff in a few days before E3. You might want to study the matter at Ninja Theory's homepage (read the diaries from the Features section).

You're talking about the gdc realtime footage right? That was running on a final ps3 dev kit enclosed in a gray case according to sony (they confirmed they had final ps3 dev kits at GDC)

No, I'm not talking about the PHYSICS DEMO (note: NOT Heavenly Sword) that was shown at GDC. It was made by Ninja Theory (they did it with Sony), but it wasn't Heavenly Sword. Just a physics demo made to be shown for DEVELOPERS.

I mean the E3 trailer. As I said, the developers have confirmed it was real time. The first part (which had onle dozens of enemies) ran at 1080p with good framerates, but they didn't have the time to optimize the code so the second part (with thousands of enemies) didn't run too well. The whole video was made by combining clips of gameplay, to make it look like a movie trailer rather than a game trailer. It wasn't made with PS3 hardware, but the developers said PS3 is capable of such graphics. And btw, the final dev kits won't be ready until the beginning of June, Kutaragi said that in June they will deliver the final ones to developers.
