Sony sends along a slew of new screens from the upcoming Gran Turismo HD game for the Playstation 3. As you can see the game looks great, although some of the spectators seem to repeat. Hopefully that will be remedied in the final version.

Looks alright, nothing spectacular.

Looks pretty good to me. Polyphony will put out another outstanding product. They've alwasy been able to push the hardware and I expect nothing different here. GT Online, let's hope so.

Is this actual gameplay or is it just another fantastic cinema of a game. There was only two pictures that could make this look like actual gameplay. Both of them have the lap count on the top with the map under it and a in the car view with the speedometer. Not bad if it's actual game.

But then again a picture like that was shown earlier before.

this is the PS2 version of GT4 tweeked on 1080P. This is not the final Game . the final game wil have PS3 power :P

To HAHAHAHA.. Thats good if it does but not everybody have a 1080P set.

For me GT A-spec was a good game. But I lost interest pretty quick they push realism a little to much which tends to take away the fun factor.

hate to break it to you but this is the next GT. yes they started with a port of GT4 at 1080p and they will expand from that. im sure it will look good in the end but it isnt being built from the ground up for the ps3.

as far as "PS3 power" goes, i would love to see what the average gamer percieves "PS3 power" to be.

the visuals arent that grood. it looks like ps2's ver., im just not impressed with this ps3 sytem at all. hs is the only game that showed some potential, and assassins creed cant be counted because we just discovered that it was running on an xbox360 :/ so really does this system have thats impressive or worthy of the hype thats been surrounding the system. im just not impressed at all. i'll stick with my xbox360

How can you judge the visuals on a downsampled, compressed jpg viewed on a monitor. The 1080p screens would have 5.5x as much resolution as these sample images.

This would look almost like GT4 on an SD TV. Except this version doesn't have smoke plumes.

Dust clouds are too much for the PS3 to handle. But PS2 did it easily.

I don't care about GT HD. Where's GT5?

Not impressive at all sony is specifically using this game to make people think their games will be 1080p when delivers get a handle on the hardware when it fact they've just thrown ps2 game in there gave it a higher resolution and will plan on selling it. PGR3 so far is still the best looking next gen racer.

They are barely pushing the hardware with this game.. its an embarassment to polyphony's ability as a dev I'm looking forward to vision GT not this rubbish.

I'm glad so many of you have seen the vast library of PS3 games that is so terribly unimpressive. I wish I had the connections some of you did.

Sure Opta...its all a conspiracy...you paint a nice scenario. All One sided in all honesty...

You forget the one of the Key reasons why GT HD was shown and is being made...its because this is GT4 with Online play...which was touted to release for the PS2...but now will be on the PS3.

You have to Understand that Lots and Lots of GT fans have Requested an Online version of the game...they have been spamming the boards and game forums for Pholyphony to release a Online version of GT4...

Pholyphony after alot of thinking , planned to release GT4 w/ Online for the PS2. They where not certain about Sonys plans for the Online platform with the PS3 at that time. They did not want to release on the PS2 with Online for GT4, as there plans for Online implementation on the PS2 Online does not live upto the requirements for Pholyphonys Online plans.

Hence you see the GT version with 1080p for PS3 where the Online platform is much improved and capable (HDD standard a major factor) enough to Implement there Online plans...

I know it rather complicated...but this is not Black and White...Check out the Gran Turismo 4 Online Test Version where 5000 Japanese gamers can test out the Onine platform for the PS2 in preperation for the PS3.

Here is an article that can explain this better aswell

"Gran Turismo 4 Online Test Version is a PlayStation 2 disk featuring Online time attack, versus racing and chat modes. The test is being conducted in order to refine the Online play set to be featured in the PlayStation 3 Gran Turismo HD and all future next generation GT games. Based on the comments from series producer Kazunori Yamauchi, it's unclear if GT4 Online will become an actual PlayStation 2 release."

^^ the GT4 w/Online tranisitioned onto the PS3...
