Timeshift Xbox360 & PC Pushed Back To 2007 > |

It is now official, the rumors are true. Timeshit, the time-manipulation FPS game from Atari has been officially pushed back to sometime in 2007. Some have said this is due to the less-than-enthusiastic response to the game so far, but Atari claims this is to allow for the game to reach its "full potential." The game was originally scheduled for release on PC and XBox in January 2005.

I Hope They Start From Scratch Because The Demo Sucked Big Time. The Idea Is Good, So Make A Good Game.

I agree, this is really a good game idea, but it important to make sure that the gameplay is just as good as the graphics and sound. Delaying the game to make sure that everything works well together and new elements are added to the gameplay is definitely the right decision.
After all, the Xbox 360 is the King of First Person Shooters; it has an INCREDIBLE number of high-quality games with excellent reputations in that genre. Delaying Time Shift won't bother anyone at all, because we will be playing games like Gears of War. But, in the spring of 2007, when Time Shift is released, it might be worth its weight in gold if the necessary improvements to the gameplay were made. I will be keeping an eye on Time Shifter now.
