	Boy, the Xbox360 rumor mill is putting in all their overtime at once today! Now, TeamXbox is reporting that Microsoft may be prepping an online service for the Xbox360 to rival the Sony HOME virtual world. The current GM of MS's Entertainment & Devices Division, Daniel Sciappa, took the stage at the Virtual Worlds Conference and Expo and said “…by next year, you’ll probably know more about why I’m up here.” It has also been hinted that out in Redmond, they are seriously mulling over a virtual world for the Xbox360. I will take that bet...because the Xbox 360 is BY FAR the #1 system in North America...and there is no way Microsoft if going to forget about that.

Xbox 360 has sold tremendously well in North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and all parts of the world...except for Japan.

It should be noted that the Playstation 3 has also sold poorly in Japan--and everywhere else.

Here is the difference between Sony "Copying" and Microsoft "Copying."

The BIG difference is that Sony creates INFERIOR versions of what is being copied.

For example: Sony never mentioned any form of "Sixaxis" controller until Nintendo showed the Wii controller with 100% "Motion-Sensing" abilities. OBVIOUSLY, the Six-axis controller of the Playstation 3 is PATHETIC compared to the Wii controller. Sony simply plagiarized what Nintendo was doing...it is a copy, but it isn't nearly as good; it has been "downgraded" and diluted in performance.



Thankfully, Microsoft now has a reputation for creating SUPERIOR versions of products!

For example, Xbox Live was a revolutionary step in online gaming for consoles; it was the first system to rely on broadband gaming.

If Microsoft can take elements of what Sony is planning for HOME, and add them to Xbox Live...BEFORE Sony ends up putting HOME on the market, then that means Microsoft is doing their job of being an incredibly awesome competitor that wants what is best for their consumers.

And it also means that Playstation 3 owners were literally waiting for nothing...because similar services will be provided on Xbox Live--perhaps earlier...Yet, for two years the people who were waiting for HOME were cheated out of enjoying the awesome services provided by Xbox Live.

And that is the really sad thing...because it means Sony's lies cheated Faithful people out of enjoying a superior videogame experience with the Xbox 360 and Xbox Live.

Microsoft is 100% happy to be where they are in the videogame console industry.

Microsoft has said countless times that they wouldn't trade positions with anyone else.

Microsoft has said many times that the Xbox 360 will likely have a life-span of seven years, considerably more than the normal five year life expectancy of a console.

But things are VERY different with the Playstation 3!!!



Reliable sources have been saying for quite a while that the Playstation 3 and the PSP are the last Console and Handeld systems that Sony will release in the videogame industry.

The reason why the PS3 and PSP will be the last systems produced from Sony are the HUGE financial losses that Sony has experienced as a result of the poor sales associated with those products.

Sony's entire videogame division lost $1.9 BILLION dollars during the QUARTER that the PS3 was released. That means the PS2 made a lot of money, but the PS3 and PSP actually lost OVER $2 Billion dollars.



Sony has been forced to take out BIG loans, and issue hundreds of millions of dollars in Stock to the public, because Sony does NOT have liquid-assett Cash reserves.

Sony simply cannot afford to be in the videogame industry, and there is no way that the PS3 or PSP will earn a profit for Sony...just listen to what the developers at Valve have to say for confirmation of this.

well Microsoft has already copied the PS3's built in HDMI and black with chrome finish color scheme, so why not a Home style XBOX live? i just wish they copied the PS3 more by adding a built in HD player and WiFi :P

hahaha, i'm just messing. but pointing out that Sony and MS are only interested in money isnt anything out of the ordinary. i mean, which company isnt only thinking about money? even helpful organizations think about money because they need it to continue to run. almost everything you and anyone here, including me, owns came from some company only wanting money. the games you play, the car you(or parents) drive, the food you eat, the toothpaste you use, the shampoo, clothes, shoes, bed sheets, everything came from some company that is only thinking about money.

so saying MS and Sony are only out for money, how does that make them any different from any other company? or different from anyone? for them to make money, they gotta make games that attracts buyers, therefore, making good games. in order for both MS and Sony to get more money, they research and see what games can and wont sell. so ya, our opinion matters to them greatly because we are the buyers. but its all on how much they are listening ;)
