The gamers who are waiting patiently for Lost Planet on the Playstation 3 are getting a bit of a bonus for their patience. Capcom has confirmed that Luka will be a playable character on the Sony console. A small but nice bonus for waiting almost a year to play the game.

ps3 fans will have a great time with Lost Planet. I really enjoyed the single player campaign. I hated the multiplayer experience, but i feel i got my money's worth.

..

Now with the ps3 getting exclusive content this is a must own for ps3 owners. I'd even expect to see the graphics get a polish and look better than the 360 version.

yea this is a great news I still have to get a ps3 myself before mgs4 comes out !

Response to dudeman:

Actually, the graphics have been compared side-by-side on the PS3 and Xbox 360, and the Xbox 360 has better graphics...at least during that particular comparison.

I agree with you that Lost Planet is a really good game, especially the single-player mode.

It had been such a long time since this game had been mentioned fore the PS3 that I was almost shocked to see it...It seems as though Lost Planet will dethrone Rainbow Six: Vegas as the game that was released so much later on the PS3, after being released first on the Xbox 360.

The bad thing is that Lost Planet will probably cost $59.99 on the Playstation 3...but it is already only $29.99 on the Xbox 360...that's another disadvantage of having games released so much later on PS3.

wrong again urdnot... i read somewhere that capcom will be releasing this game on the PS3 for only $39.99.

hxxp://www.ps3fanboy.com/2007/12/08/lost-planet-launches-with-a-budget-price

but then again the real bargain was me buying lost planet for the 360 for $5 from my bro. havent touched it yet though :P

response to krogan battle master...

If there was a comparison done it was a finished product compared to an unfinished product.

either way, extra character at a lowere price is an added advantage, just hope that the port lives up to what the original was

Response to dudeman:

You are correct that the "overall" and "entire" product involved one that was finished (Xbox 360) to one that was unfinished (PS3); however, the part of the game that was compared was completely "finished" on both systems...and the Xbox 360 version was noticably superior, as usual.

Response to incoming00:

I made nearly ten statements, and each of them was correct...only ONE of the statements I made could be considered "incorrect;" however I used the DISCLAIMER of "probably," since I wasn't entirely sure...in other words, I was not "wrong."

I used the word "probably," because all of the other games like Rainbow Six: Vegas and many others, were released at $59.99, even though the Xbox 360 versions had been lowered to $39.99 and $29.99 by then.

If the PS3 version will release at $39.99, that is still $10 more expensive than the Xbox 360 version...which is NOT a good thing.

PS3 owners should be happy that they "eventually" get games like Lost Planet...but that really is a shame to have to wait such a long time for such a great game.

This reminds me of how games would always be released on the Sega Saturn so much later, be of lower quality, and be more expensive...except its worse with the Playstation 3...Sega Saturn games would be released a couple weeks later, or a month later...but PS3 games are released several months later, six months later, and sometimes over a year later.

Krogan do you have ANYTHING to say good about the PS3???? You seem to always put a negative spin on good PS3 news. If this were MSG4 coming to the 360 a year after the PS3 release you would only have good things to say. I rarely comment on these boards, but your PS3 bashing gets very old, very quick. And before you start assumming I'm a Sony fanboy, think again. I HAD a 60 gig PS3 during launch but since got rid of it due to the lack of games at the time. I play my 360 Elite more than anything. But, I will say that I do plan on getting ANOTHER PS3 in the near future that now it seems they are finally making some strides.

Response to ManOfDaHOUR:

Yes, I say good things about the PS3 when it deserves credit--which is unfortunately a rare thing.

For example, I recently wrote a detailed compliment about how Sony did a great job of getting Capcom to pack Devil May Cry 4 in with the system in Japan as part of a special "Limited Time" package.

I'm sure everyone will remember how I talked about how this was a classic example of a gaming company (Sony) using the 4 P's - Product, Pricing, Promotion, Placement in order to achieve marketing success.

At the time, I pointed out that it was a terrible thing for Microsoft to allow Sony to gain that sort of advantage in Japan.

However, we now know that Microsoft will also have a Devil May Cry 4 Limited Edition pack-in version of the Xbox 360 in Japan...So, I thought it was fair to give Microsoft credit, too.

Clearly, I do give credit where credit is deserved...I say a lot of nice things about the Wii, Xbox 360, PS2, PS1, Nintendo DS, Gameboy, SNES, Genesis, and NES.

However, I often have bad things to say about the Playstation 3, Sega Saturn, 32X, Jaguar, and 3DO.
