	Over at Nosgothic Realm there was a post regarding a bit of info uncovered on a canceled Legacy of Kain sequel. As fans of the series know, and gamers may not know, the franchise has just one more title left to finish the current storyline. We have been waiting for this games for years now, and hope it will come out some day. Well apparently it was in the works when Crystal Dynamics shut it down and never went back. The website is the online portfolio of game artist Aaron Hausmass, who worked as an artist on: 25 to Life, Medal of Honor: Airborne, the Valve SiN Episodes, and at the bottom of the page is a section entitled "Legacy of Kain Canceled Sequel." By the screenshots we can only guess a few things. It appears to be form the last gen, using the Defiance engine, as the previous Kain games did. It is nice to know at least the storyline exists for the last game, lets hope someone picks it up and throws it on the Unreal engine this gen. I saw the said images and they did look Wii-gen, I mean last gen.

I am a HUGE fan of the series and would like to return to Nosgoth once more. I know the head honcho of Eidos recently said they were considering a new LoK game. I revisit the old titles FREQUENTLY. One more game in hi definition to close out the battle between Kain and the Elder God (whose voice actor passed away) would be sweet.

I hope it's not canceled for good. I'd much rather Crystal Dynamics work on another LoK game than Tomb Raider 75.

Loved the series, they should bring it back.

What was the last game in the series again? Did the soul reaver fall in the LoK series?

I didn't play soul reaver 2 but I did play the last LoK, though I never beat it.

I wouldn't mind picking up all the games eventually to play them through

Defiance was the last game of the series. Soul Reaver's 1,2 played heavily into the Defiance storyline. Blood Omen 2 was also a LoK game, but developed by another studio. Amy Henig didn't pen the script/story, and therefor there were a lot of holes in the story that had to be covered up in Defiance. The dialog was also much weaker than the Soul Reaver tagged LoK games. Blood Omen 2 also had a steampunk city to play in, while the rest of the LoK games post Silicon Knights were in a much more gothic setting. Seeing that Blood Omen 2 was supposed to tie in moreso with the Soul Reaver storyline, it was kinda strange playing in a different setting. That being said, I enjoyed them all. Kain is the ultimate videogame badass.

You should really do yourself a favor, fire up your Dreamcast and beat Soul Reaver 1. Go to gamestop and buy the PS2 version of Soul Reaver 2 and Defiance (could get 360 version of defiance) or just buy the PC versions and check it out. Greatest storytelling/voice acted game in history.

cool thanks. I don't have a ps2 anymore, but my bro does. I could also buy SR2 for the PC right? I'll have to remember this next year, when I can actually have a life again.

Yeah, you should be able to get all LoK games on PC on the mega cheap.
