Everquest Turns 10 Soon, SOE Pres Talks Future Of MMO & More > |

The quintessential MMO game that really put the genre in the spotlight, Everquest, will be turning 10 come March. In light of this event, the current SOE president, John Smedley, spoke with Gamasutra about the epic MMO game, its past, future, and effect on the gaming world in general. The game is still a significant revenue producer at SOE, and frankly, it will likely always be. The game requires low overhead, and there will always be a legion of loyal EQ fans who will play until they are lying in their coffin. The game may even make it to the Sony Playstation 3 after all.
