XBox Live will be receiving new dedicated marketplace fronts for music games such as Lips, Guitar Hero, and Rock Band. It seems the Sony Playstation 3 SLIM and the price cut did exactly what Sony hoped it would -- increase PS3 sales by a wide margin. According to the NPD numbers, Playstation 3 sold approximately 491,800 units in September. This is a great increase over August, and it seems consumers are finally comfortable with the price point. The hardware chart is as follows:

Nintendo DS - 524,200
PlayStation 3 - 491,800
Nintendo Wii - 462,800
Xbox 360 - 352,600
