Clive Barker's Jericho Two New Vids, Our Short Take > |
2007/10/18 19:21:44: Posted by DM | |
One of the current gaming trends in today's market is the trend of marrying known Hollywood movie makers, and gaming development houses, to produce games that play like movies. This is not a new idea, but only recently has it really been able to come into its own with games like Stranglehold and this post’s topic - Clive Barker’s Jericho. Codemasters has teamed up with one of movieland’s great horror icons to add depth to an FPS game that was already shaping up to play pretty well. As you can see from the movies below, and the demo on Xbox Live Marketplace, the game does have some pretty unique features, along with solid graphics and game play. As long as these type of games keep selling well, and they most likely will, you can expect more and more for Hollywood and Silicon Valley to work together, until the lines between games and movies blur so much that we have feature film releases that actually tie in to video game storylines of the day. Clive Barker’s Jericho would be a good start. Click read more for the second video.
