	Here we go, folks, the last console maker conference is about to begin. Check back here for the breaking news. Click read more for the full coverage. Jack Tretton is on stage now after a game scene montage. Did not see anything new really. Tretton is basically just talking about the PS3 console and all its technological features, and how the BluRay won the format war. Here come the games. Resistance 2 is first, showing off a video. The game looks epic, it should be fun. Now on to Little Big Planet. Tretton is showing off the game and how users can create anything. Now apparently we have to talk about PS2 and the games. I really don;t want to badmouth Sony here, but PS2 games? Come on. For some reason Sony has 120 PS2 games planned for 2008. A new PS2 bundle will be coming this fall, the Batman bundle for $149.99. Why we are spending so much time on PS2 I have no idea. Now on to PSN. Starting this Fall, all PSN users will have a single login for PC, PS3, or wherever you login. PSN has 180 million downloads since launch. A new PSN title is coming later this summer, Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty. A shorter game for a cheaper price, a new idea for downloadable games. At least on the Sony consoles, that is. It will cost only $14.99. We got to see a montage of upcoming games, and then Tretton announced a "new feature for any game, Gran Turismo TV," Sigh, we guess he forgot that PGR3 had PGRTV. Really trying to get with Tretton here but he keeps saying things are new to gaming that just aren't. What is going on? Ratchet Commandos looks good, though. The GTTV will start providing content through GT5P on August 1. Now we are on to PSN HOME. New video showing off just what this virtual world is all about. It seems like it may be worth waiting for. If you enjoy virtual worlds, that is. Now we are on to PSP and the fact that you can use it to rent videos from Sony pictures. Again, Tretton is claiming this is "new to gaming" for some reason. It certainly is handy, but it is not new. You can put the rentals from PS3 to PSP before you hop on the train. Like I said, sounds handy! Now they are demoing the PSN video store, you can browse by many categories such as studio, genre, and more. A bit of great news, the new video store will be available starting tonight. Now on to PSP. A new PSP pack is coming this Fall. The PSP Ratchet & Clank Size Matters pack. It comes with a 1GB Duo and National Treasure 2 movie. A new PSP title has been announced, Resistance Retribution. Now back to the Playstation 3. SOE is going to show of their online PS3 games, DC Universe Online and The Agency. We finally get to see DC Universe in some real form. The game looks pretty good, not much gameplay was shown, though. It should be an interesting time online, and once we get more details it should be even better. There will be a new 80gb PS3 launched with the same features of the 40gb PS3, for the same price, $399.99. this also means, if the features are the same as the current 40gb, there will still be no backwards compatibility. basically there was a montage shown of games we knew about already. Then we saw a 30 second CG only God of War 3 trailer. Then they showed a nice Infamous trailer. Now we are on the last game of the conference called MAG (massive online gaming). Supposedly it will support battles with up to 260 players. It is supposedly going to push the PS3 hardware to its limits, and it is an online adventure based game. This seems like a huge undertaking, but if they pull it off, it should be awesome. It may end up more like an MMO FPS such as Planetside though. Time will tell. hat is the end of the conference, and frankly, I do not have much faith in the PS3 for the rest of 2008. Oh boy. We relly want to love the PS3 too, why is Sony not listening to us?

Magina-dude wow if I didn't know any better I'll say the show made you a lil wet. I didn't know what you were that easy to turn on. The biggest announcement was the $100 price drop. MS really put some pressure on them with that FF13 announcement. MAG 256 players online sounds promising but really how long do you have to wait to get back in after you die the first time. Nothing is touching GEARS OF WARS 2 in terms of sales this year. (God of War Might sell close to it) H.O.M.E 1 word Weak. MS Matched 11 out of 10 of it features with this fall update. Don't get me wrong sony put on a good show.. The sad part is that I walk away being more amazed at the Ps2 than the Ps3. to score the presentation from 1 out of 10 - Sony 7 MS 7.5

FACTS:

(1) TV Hosts Adam Sessler and Dan Hsu of G4 made it 100% clear that Sony's conference was a BIG disappointment! They even said "They were surprised by the lack of surprises."

(2) God of War 3 won't be available until 2010 or later...all that was shown was a prerendered "intro." TV Hosts Adam Sessler and Dan Hsu SPECIFICALLY said that was the case with most Playstation 3 games.

(3) Where was Killzone 2??? TV Hosts Adam Sessler and Dan Hsu of G4 specifically wanted to know where Killzone 2 was...not that it matters, because reliable sources such as Gamespot and IGN rated the first Killzone game with such poor ratings.

Pimp is MIA. He must have rushed out to buy a ps3 after all of these awesome announcements.

(4) It was PATHETIC the way that half the audience did NOT clap for virtually every announcement. But stop and think, do you REALLY think that prerendered intros of games are worth clapping for. Obviously they are not. Sony deserved not to get endorsement from the crowd.

(5) The fact that Sony is allowing "On-Demand" movies to work on the Playstation 3 is further PROOF that Blu-ray is a dead format that never had a chance of winning. Online "On-Demand" is what the future is based on.

(6) Microsoft's announcement with NetFlix is MUCH BIGGER than the one Sony made! That is GUARANTEED!

Microsoft's announcement LITERALLY turns the Xbox 360 into the same $100 set-top box that NetFlix recently started selling.

(7) Did you notice that Universal Studios was not even listed on Sony's movie selection...brings back memories of no Universal movies on Blu-ray. NetFlix on the Xbox 360 allows over 10,000 (yes, Ten-THOUSAND) movies to be downloaded.

NO DOUBT ABOUT IT: NetFlix on the Xbox 360 is VASTLY SUPERIOR to what was announced for Playstation 3.

(8) TV Hosts Adam Sessler and Dan Hsu of G4 specifically said that "Sony did NOT have any 'Bombshell' Final Fantasy 13 announcements the way that Microsoft did."

In 2006 83% of the people voted that Microsoft won the E3 show. 12% voted for Nintendo. Only 5% voted for Sony.

2008 is very similar to 2006. There is NO DOUBT that Microsoft and the Xbox 360 COMPLETELY CRUSHED Sony and the Playstation 3!

Dudeman, no he was out paying the postage on the Playstation 3 because it "bricked" on him when the Firmware Update 2.4 exposed the defects that exist in the Playstation 3.

Wow, I gatta say, this year's E3 is not for the hardcore gamer. MS ans Sony are chasing the casual chunk that Wii already has and is looking to expand on. Only major game announcment overall is God of War 3 but that'll be a while before it comes out.

Let get something clear DM maybe we're watching a different E3 cause Sony's press conference was better than the others. They had good announcements while they had nothing was as cool as Netflix on xbox 360 give them their due, Microsoft conference was boring except for Gears2 and Netflix and don't get me started about the wii.

Krogan if you go to Engadget this so-called "disappointment" doesn't appear in their play by play. E3 brings out the worst in you people.

Resistance 2 footage was shown...Lots of amazing gameplay footage. It will destroy Gears of War 1.5

KZ2 demo is there and playable from what i've heard. It supposedly surpasses the hype.

Dudeman: I just watched the recap of the PS3 E3 conference. It's over for the PS3. Somehow Sony looked worse than Nintendo. I don't know how Sony accomplished that, but they did. The biggest bit of news was a PS2 bundle. PS2? WTF. What did they show for the PS3? Some games they announced 3 years ago. God of War 3? We all knew it was in development since last year. RFOM 2. KZ2. LPB. Old news.

Oh I'm sorry an MMO that supposed to push the Cell to the Max. Yawn... We have seen how new IP's have done on the PS3 this generation. LOL. Nothing they did came close to the a$$ whoopin that Microsoft game them yesterday. The only new games they annonced were for the PSP and PS2.

Dudeman: LMAO. Sony's whoe E3 presentation was a spin job. Talkign about PS2 PSp and PS3 sales combined in Playstation sales. PS2 Bundles. PSP bundles. Replacement of the 40GB sku with an 80GB sku. What mad it so great? They rehashed old news about thier exclusives and thier major new game announcement was an MMO. So a new IP is thier way to counter arguably the most important franchise on the past 2 Sony platforms going multipolatfrom to the 360.

Yesterdays news of FF13 coming to the 360 was like the shot heard all around the world. A new Sony exlcusive MMO IP is like shooting a blank. They can't compare.

Then you include the fact that Microsoft maanged to trump Home and Mii's with thier Avatars and Live graphical overhaul. Not to mention new causal games, more Live arcade games, Netflix, more Movie Studio partners, and more ways to interact online.

Sorry Microsoft had the best showing. I'm not even trying to be a fanboy at this point. It's the truth. Sony was just rehashing old stuff and seemed to spend too mcuh time on PS2 and PSP stuff. Nintendo lost me years ago...

I just watched the G4 coverage of Nintendo and Sony, I thought Sony's conference was the worse of the 3, (apart from the lady from Nintendo who annoyed the hell out of me), Resistance looked great, but in no way did it blow Gears 2 away and little big planet as every looked like Sony's ticket to a main stream audience, but there was no big announcements, nothing that makes me think that Sony is going to have best year yet, I guess I was hoping for more. BTW where the hell was killzone 2???

Sony did a much better job than I expected. The presentation was done very well and they had one of the most inventive way to show stats and promote LBP. While the Resistance 2 video looked good it lacked a sense of danger making it exciting and shooting at the thing with a machine gun was silly. I'll say MS was the best, then Sony and Nintendo were just dreadful.
