	Well, today Sony has given us a bit of a black eye in the LBP across the world department. It seems the servers are not only going to be region-specific, but also locked so that gamers have to stay within their region. We suppose this more or less kills the worldwide sharing appeal of the game, huh? >Link

I'm sure there is a valid reason for it, similar to HOME's region locking.

There will be enough people playing/creating in each region to offset that.

It would have been nice to open it up. Not a purchase killer by any means.

honestly vae, what good comes from region locking? PSN is still as laggy as live is even with the dedicate servers.

if you reall belive PSN is still laggy, then you are absolutley, xbox fanboy, i would say xbox live wins before,

but now its a tie, and actually PSN has tons of great new games rather than port.

You can't talk about things you know nothing about. You don't have a clue about the 360.

Everyone: I don't see lag playing games on either PSN or Live. Live is still better IMHO. But Sony has added new features and made the Playstation faster and more accessible in the past year. In fact my biggest gripe right now is in-game XMB. It's slow as hell. Sometimes it seems to hang for a few seconds before responding. I hold my breath sometimes wondering if it is going to lock up like Windows :p

All I said was that it wasn't a purchase killer for me.

I'll still buy LBP, I'll still be able to create and try out new user created levels and that's fine by me. I'm sorry you guys don't see it the way I do.

I have also always made my preference for PS3 known, but I am in no way close to being as ridiculous as your favorite poster, krogan.

VaeVictus: Hey it's cool. I think sometimes it may come off as you, Kenny K, myself as of late, and others are not biased at all. But we all have bias. I won't lie I prefer the 360 to the PS3 hands down. The Wii is just a total disappointment except for first part games. Even those seem to have lost the magic from generations past.

Bottom line though is I am a gamer first, and a fanboy second. Every generation I have had a favorite console.

But every generaton I buy all the consoles. Thats the only way to get access to all the games.

Everyone knows I ran the PS3 into the ground for the past year and a half since I joined this site. But is was never out of jealousy or insecurity. It was because Sony has pissed me off. Just like i am sure Microsoft has pissed you off VaeVictus.

LBP is not region locked btw, check the forums for an update.

Oh, and as I said, b4 the update came out, the SCEE post gave reasons why LBP could have been locked (see 1st post that was attacked) but in the end did not have to be. toldyaso

Bottom line though. PS3 has come a LONG way in the past year since I bought mine last year, watched it collect dust, and traded it in a month later. I can honestly say it is a good videogame console. Has great games now, and forthcoming. PSN is actually worth a damn and continues to get better. In short the PS3 is worth $400.00

While I still have more love for my 360, the PS3 gains on it every day in my eyes.

I just went out yesterday and traded in 4 games my son got for his BDay for the Wii from various relatives. We got MarioKart Wii with the trade in money. That games is ridiculously fun. That right there sums up my take on videogames. Playing Super Smash Bros and MarioKart with my kids is priceless. I can't get that on the PS3 or 360.

Also while I was at Gamecrazy I bought Gears of War for tomorrow. I haven't played that game since it launched almost 2 years ago. I still say WOW while I played the first part of the campaign last night. I did something even crazier. I preordered a game for the first time EVER. I preordered Gears of War 2.

So I guess my point is be a gamer not a hater :p

We got Krogan to cut down the length of his copied and pasted novels. So thats progress right? Sky no longer posts 1 sentence and runs. He actually got into it with Kenny K pretty good the other day. I was impressed that he stood his ground :p

I PimpDaddy am an Xbot. I represent the XDF (Xbox Defense Force). If I think somebody is preading FUD about the 360 or ignorantly bashing it I will curb stomp thier a$$. I will from time to time flame towards the PS3 or Wii just because it pisses people off and because when I do it it's funny :p And people that piss and moan about the cost of Live should be shot... You just spent all this money on a videogame console, games, accessories, and you wan't to b1tch about $4.17 a month. Eat me!!!

What I won't tell people is that the PS3 has some serious games to challenge the 360. That Blu-Ray although not necessary does serve it's purpose. That I prefer the DS3 for fighting and platform games. That being able to upgrade your HDD on the cheap and built in wifi are trump cards that the PS3 holds over the 360.

That even thought the Wii's graphics are last gen, you still can't f*ck with Nintendo first party games. Because of the Wii my wife is interested in videogames. The fact aht she whoops my a$$ in Wii sports and Wii play makes it that much easier for me to justify my videogame hobby to her. So thank you Nintendo for your recycled, over priced, over clocked, glossy white Gamecube. You just may save my marriage :p

Next weekend is WarHawk. I got 2 more guys Sky, and MadGunde on my PSN list from this site who want to play. I think we might get 8-10 people. Should be fun. Maybe we can mix the games up a bit...

blacktiger: Just shut your mouth already. Your perspective sucks because you don't have both consoles. Therefore everything you see or think to know is only based on 1 side and not the other. To be able to form a respected opinion you have to have extensive experience with both to make a valid comparison.

Take it from me. In game XMB is slow. Is buggy. Because I have a 360 I probably notice it where you wouldn't because the dashboard on the 360 is faster, is more responsive, has more features.

FYI I did download R&C: Quest for the Booty. It is fun. But it took 4.5 hours to download a 2388MB file and another 20+ minutes to install. To me that is a big deal. Because I can download on the 360 much faster and don't have to install afterwards...

Edit: By the way blow your RROD jokes out your a$$ Biatch. I haven't had RROD on 2 different consoles. So contrary to popular SDF belief RROD doesn't happen to every 360. I hear there is a job opening for Jack Tretton's Personal Pole Polisher. You should apply immediately. I feel you are very well qualified for the Pole Position.

Your right you can download on 360 and faster, but only if 360 have any brand new games that's worth the price...
