	First of all, Happy Columbus Day to those who celebrate it. It is a Holiday here in America, although you would be hard pressed to tell. I digress. SCEA President Kaz Hirai has confirmed that there will be no PS3 price cuts before Christmas this year. Kaz states that the PS3 is a "very good value proposition." The ps3 is definitely worth every penny imo, but man i've got a feeling MS is going to eat them up on sales for the rest of the year.

Yeah i think this is a bad idea, especially with the recession in place at the moment people can't afford the ps3 as easily as you could 360, i see the 360 selling much greather these last few months of the year.

This is actually a smart move.

With our current global economic conditions it makes no sense for Sony to drop the price of the PS3. They already lose too much money selling the PS3 at it's current price point.

To sum it up Sony can't afford to drop the price, no matter how much you tards try to sugar coat it, thats the bottom line.

@Nem I see where you are coming from, but its a smart move on Sony part, but a greater move on MS to drop the price, its sorta like kicking them when their down.

I dont think they are ready to lower the price...

In christmas time, everyone buys without looking at the price most of the time...

I agree that the PS3 ain't too bad of a value at it's current price point, but you can play almost all the same games on a $199 Xbox 360 which is where I think Sony may get beat this holiday. Also I think Sony and MS are neck and neck for quality exclusives this holiday season.

Sony has been beaten by the 360 every holiday season this gen, which is why it's a safe move to keep the current price. Why bother lowering the price now when it's not going to help you edge out the competition.

What's coming out for the ps3 besides LBP, Naruto: UNS (looks HOT!) and Resistance 2? It's an honest question, not trying to start anything, since I want to know my options for when I pick up my ps3.

On the 360 we're getting Fable 2, Left 4 Dead (GoTY), Banjo, Gears 2, Last Remnant, Race Pro, Naruto: The Broken Bond, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, Lips, In the Movies now, Scene It? Box Office Smash, and maybe a few others I can't remember.

Again, not trying to start anything, but sony and MS aren't anywhere near neck and neck in terms of exclusives for this holiday.

Xenos, half those games you named aren't going to be big hits...

Big hits or not, they are all set for exclusives and all look to be quality titles. I didn't know big sales = exclusive game.

I don't see the Naruto games on either console as a big hit, but I still listed it anyways.

My point still stands and I hope someone can provide more ps3 exclusives for this year other than the 3 I listed.
