Bethesda Has No Plans For PS3 Fallout Post-Campaign Play DLC >
2009/01/26 12:17:29: Posted by DM
Fallout 3 players who have finished the main campaign on the Playstation 3 edition are none to happy with Bethesda. Apparently, unlike the Xbox360 and PC editions, there are no plans by Bethesda to release download content which allows players to keep exploring the wasteland after finishing the main storyline. When the credits roll on the game, even if you have unfinished side quests, that is the end. The DLC for PC and Xbox360 changes that, but there are no plans for the same feature on PS3. Bethesda has even admitted it warrants correcting, but will not commit to anything at this time.

I don't care about DLC, remove the cap limit on exp you bastages.

This was the reason i bought the 360 version over the ps3.

I'm curious as to how much it costs to buy off a developer/publisher for exclusive DLC. I mean, in this case, not only are they losing out on sales of the DLC on PSN, but they're also hurting sales of the retail FallOut 3 game since people will have less of a reason to not trade it in for something else when they finish it. Just removing the XP cap and letting people keep playing after the main campaign is over so they can keep exploring and completing side missions would put a nice dent in the supply of used copies.

Guess I'll never see multiplatform game dlc as long as I keep buying games on the PS3. :/

neoimpulse, there was Bioshock.

They owe it to ps3 owners to atleast patch so that the ending doesn't end. That would be the absolute LEAST they could do.

Them refusing to do so will greatly impact my decision to buy future games. I'm not asking for DLC, I just want a cap removal, and since everyone else wants the ability to continue playing, that too.

@ madgunde, they weren't paid off and it's getting REALLY old that every fanboy automatically jumps to that conclusion.

@ Victus, all because of Sony's policy regarding Bioshock.
Written by VaeVictus on 2009/01/26

Sony policy or not, it is DLC that another game console doesn't have. We PS3 fans have to take what we can get. ;)

I know I know, I was just being Mr. Absolute as usual. Mirror's Edge would be a better example to how the ps3 version is supposed to receive exclusive DLC.

Personally, anyone that wants to bitch about this has themselves to blame since this DLC news has been known for some time. However, I've always felt that this exclusive DLC crap was retarded regardless of console.

I could care less about the DLC. I knew that going in. I did not know about the level cap nor did I know about the game stopping once you've beaten it.

To me, that's bullshittake mushrooms. Remove the level cap Bethesda, don't be lame.
