Sony Answers PS3 Slim Questions - HDD Upgradeable, No Linux > |

Ars has gotten a hold of John Kollar from Sony in order to answer a few questions about the new PS3 SLIM. First, he cleared up the fact that the HDD is upgradeable, and that Sony even encourages it. Apparently the IGN unboxing of the PS3 SLIM gave false information when they said that it looked like there was no way to upgrade the internal HDD. The ability to install Linux on the system has been removed for vague reasons. Sorry folks, Kollar confirmed that backwards compatibility is not coming back. Good thing we have a launch PS3 we will never give up here at GR. So there you have it, straight from the horse's mouth.
