Modern Warfare Makes 310 Million USD On Day 1, 4.7 Mil Units > |

Activision has released the preliminary numbers for Call of Duty: modern Warfare 2 day one sales. Activision believes the game sold 4.7 million units in the UK and US in the first 24 hours. This blows away any other game that has come before. Halo 3, the previous holder of the record for biggest entertainment product launch, sold around 3 million copies in the first 24 hours. Looks like CoD: MW2 will indeed be the biggest game launch of all time, to date. Stay tuned for the official numbers when we have them.
