	Apparently the makers of Starforce copy protection have another dirty trick up their sleeves. It seems that Futuremark, the people behind 3D Mark have discovered that when users install any game that has Starforce protection, SF will install a driver. This driver runs whether or not the game is running, and if it detects any protected CD being copied or other suspicious activity, it will reboot the PC regardless of unsaved work. Oh boy. >Link

Man, I knew SF boys were nasty... but now that's wicked !!

Wicked....but very fair. As long as this can't be exploited by hackers of course.

Wow.. that would explain a few reboots I couldn't figure out. I had SF on my computer (forgot a game I had, had it installed), and a few times while burning CDs my PC would suddenly turn off and boot up again. I had no idea why. That could explain a few coasters. (However it didn't seem to happen everytime, like once every 20-30 CDs)

See, that's why I ony play with consoles only and not PC games
