Exclusive Nintendo Revolution title Sadness will be fully.. black and white!

Nibris decided to follow Nintendo's path, which definately fights the stagnation which has occured in video games, and creates new trends - With this move, we want to create a unique environment, which is only available in Sadness - Says Łukasz "CassSept" Oskard, a Nibris employee. But Nibris are not following the trend created though Sin City, but rather a game which is set pre-World War. More information on Sadness will be available soon.

Bad enough the system is not HDTV capable. But to make a black and white game sounds like a rip off in itself.

i'm playing games for a very long time now

i'm very happy that there are people who are not afraid of change

i will buy a PS3 100% but 100% that i will buy a revolution too

This is great news!

Go Nintendo, that's your difference, being inovative!

I think it could be a great atomosphere for a game set in that time period. I am looking forward to the pictures.

Go Nintendo for being diffrent. Remember what "they" say: " If you do more of the same, you are always bound to get more of the same." (I had a teacher that always said that)

Look, if I wanted a game with no color then I will turn down the color on my tv. Give me a break with Nintendo being innovative. The system is called revolution and they are acting like they're prehistoric. I want my money's worth and a black and white game don't seem to cut it. I feel that its covering up the flaws of the system. Any company could make the controller they are putting out there and it may happen. They need to just bow down to the other companies and start to make games for the other companies. Sega did it and they are next.

"Black and white!?!?! This is a rip off! IF I wanted a black and white game I'd cut off the cones in my eyes!! RAWWRRRWR RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!"

Are you kidding me? You're upset about a game being black and white? Video games have a potential to be art. If done right all the mood and feeling of the game can be intensified through color. I'm sure going black and white creates the perfect tone/atmosphere the director of the game was looking for. It will have the power to transport the player to that era.

Black and white media is a part of our history and I'm happy somebody is finally making a game that has emphasis on that type of style. People get pissed at movies too when they use black and white film, yet the critics call it artistic.

Mason was right. More of the same gets you more of the same. The PS3 and the Xbox 360 will be exactly the same. Nintendo is going down a different path and that's what will give them the edge.

I'm sorry, but a black and white game is not innovative.... Are they just trying to ignore colors to save as much resources as possible what's the deal? Nintendo wont go out so easily Richard as cheap as the revolution might be parents are shopping this christmas buy the more expensive 360 or ps3? Or go for a brand new cheap revolution? You know parents :)
Written by Ric Hard on 2006/04/12
Prettz, You said it. People do get pissed at Black and White movies. So besides you and Mason the majority of the people will not care for this game. I'm glad that Nintendo is here to please you. As for the system optaviusx you're right parents would prefer to buy this system for their kids. So prettz Be a good boy and maybe mommy will buy you one for christmas.

AS for getting more of the same gets you more of the same. I rather get more of the same than get nothing at all. Nobody supports Nintendo.

I have no problems watching black and white movies. Movies that incorperate the black and white style well are some of my all time favorites. I'm sure if the stage is set right and the mood is good a black and white game would have no problems selling. I'm neither pro any company, I have an xbox 360 and will purchase both the PS3 and Revolution. You're only limiting yourself to chose only one system - it's the games that matter not the hardware that powers them.
Written by Ric Hard on 2006/04/12
Trust me I had every system that man made and when it came down to nintendo starting with the N64 there were not that many games to chose from. Even now my gamecube collects dust and I have to be grateful for them giving me games like Naruto? Come on give me a break. Their best selling game is Super Smash Bros. Melee and that game was pretty much made from the beginning. So limiting myself to one system only is not the case. It's Nintendo that limits people with games. And there is an old saying that says "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me." And I never heard of a say fool me three times. The gamecube sold poorly in the beginning that I could have went three days to a week later and still be able to get a system off the shelf. Why because that are not a good system maker, maybe they are good with handhelds but not making systems anymore. They are as ancient as their black and white game they are making now. they need to get with the times.

RIC HARD , i know how u feel that nintendo beats sony and microsoft when it comes to profit... don't worry they don't care about ppl liek u or me... they care for the ppl that knows and respect games... i had ps2 and ps1, all the games i play is not playable or memories beside metal gear solid... and i don't care about RPG, but games in gameube or n64 almost half of the games became history !

there is a reason, u either want crappy third party or less games from first party, taht every game u know its good unlesss u hate nintendo u just say it sucks...

anyways i don't know but i hope revolution does something new cause console sucks i meant video games sucks now a days... its same ting and its boring...

i can't wait for FPS for any PC games....

No disrespect nixon. But what the Hell you talking about. Your whole Topic is losing me. I don't understand if you coming or going.
Written by Da Man (14) on 2006/04/12
Man, Ric, you're either stupid or just lame. There has been (recent) movies that SUCCESFULLY use the black & whiteness to its advantage. Why couldn't it be the same for games? Some games have even used black and white at some point of the game. It doesn't mean the game is "old".

And wtf? Nintendo is limiting you with its games? Lol. That's the stupidest thing I've heard in a long time. I've noticed that the best "console combo" is PS2 & Gamecube. PS2 doesn't have a problem with lack of games and Gamecube has many of the best games ever. Xbox is kinda boring, Ninja Gaiden is like the only game that I have any interest in.

Oh well, I'll just be playing my Revolution and having a blast swinging the controller around while you move your thumb a little. ,,/

Oh, and you'll be surprised how much support Revolution has. There are many new developers making games only for Revolution, and you've seen Red Steel. Ubisoft, the ultimate port maker, developing an exclusive title for Revolution. And I do bet that's not the only one (not from Ubisoft, not from any other devs).

Do/Will PS3 or Xbox 360 have any exclusive titles (that won't even be released on PC) from Ubisoft? No? Didn't think so.

Da man. I wasn't saying the game was old you f*ckin, moron. I was just stating the facts about a little history about Nintendo. Maybe you're new to the game world but I've been playing game systems for a long time. You could believe all you want about Nintendo has companies supporting them. But we'll see how many games come out for the Revolution. When the N64 came out nintendo was the only one supporting it with 2 release games. They were Pilot Wing and Mario thats it. Then every few months maybe a game would come out. As for the Gamecube please that was a failure to. Nobody even reserved it here. You could just get it from the store anytime you want without worrying about a shortage. It's funny how you call yourself Da Man and you care about a kiddie system. Have fun playing Pokemon. It's probably all you could afford.

Wow this system should be called the Nintendo Gimmick.

Dear Ric,

Congradulations, you've been playing games for a long time, well done. I am afraid though, that means absolutely nothing. If you're trying to discredit Nintendo for not having solid launch titles, then I suggest you look at Microsoft and Sony's history too, When the PS2 came out, what did that have to offer? ATV Offroad Fury was about the best game there, unless you REALLY liked launching fireworks (Fantavision). Then there's the 360, It's collecting dust. I'm glad I didn't pick one up, because it's an XBOX with a graphical update. Also, it took about 4 months for a good game to come out (GRAW). Sweet.

I'm going to assume you love FPS. I don't blame you for not wanting innovation or anything new. FPS don't need it, they've got a formula and pretty much the only way to further this genre is graphics. So great, get a 360, sit down with your frat buddies and enjoy a good deathmatch.

You may be wondering, why do you say that? Well it shows pretty clearly that you don't enjoy games for anything but realism and action. That's not what Nintendo's strong point is (or they prefer it not to be), they want to be different. I for one am psyched that Nintendo is breaking the mold, taking a chance and concentrating on bringing what real gamers want. Something new.

Not to mention the artistic value, the black and white medium has the potential to really change the way we think about games, and I don't expect you to appreciate this Ric, but soon games will on the level of movies. No longer are movies just entertainment, but art. Hopefully games will follow suit soon, and Nintendo is just preparing.

Dear Continue. Where did you get your info from. The xbox360 sells out all the time maybe your on a farm were you don't know these things. But here in new york its doing just fine. As for the PS2 it was released with more games than what you described. There was games like Tekken,Ridge Racer and Madden to name a few. That right there is double what Nintendo offered if you included Your Fantavision. You shouldn't assume anything about me. You know what they say about people who assume. No I don't love FPS but I do love RPG's. I had all the nintendo systems and I also love games like Mario,Donkey Kong,Zelda and Metroid. Those are great games. But Nintendo is at its end. They are a great game making company but not a system one. Ever since the N64 its been down hill for them with the exception of their handhelds. I'm not saying for them to disappear. but they should consider to make games only not systems..

PS. Can somebody else take over I'm tired of this discussion.

I agree with Ric Hard. Nintendo's days are numbered. This gimmick with the stupid controller just goes to show that they've completely lost their edge. They need to pull a Sega. The only hardware they need to continue with are the handhelds. It is time for them to abandon the console scene, they've lost touch with non fanboys.
Written by Inferno (26) on 2006/04/13
Honestly the Revolution is innovative I guess with its controller but the system is going to be the biggest gimmick out there. First we have the wacky controller and now a game in black and white.

Nintendo just knows they cant deliver in terms of competition with Sony or Microsoft so they are taking the other route and I think they will come crashing down when its all said and done. Revolution will sell better then gamecube but it wont outsell PS3 for sure and will probably only outsell 360 in Japan.

Does everyone remember how nervous we were when the DS was first released? It was called a gimmick, but it worked.

Trust in the Big N. They have a plan, as crazy as it may seem now, but they have a plan in the works. Now the DS is outselling both the ps2 and the psp combined and finally developers are starting to get back to Nintendo. Some of the best games on the DS are third party games. They will have third party support on the Revolution. Anybody remember when Hidio Kojima (of Metal Gear Solid fame) couldn't stop talking about how great the revolution was?

Sorry for the double post. That's just n00b right there, but I got a little long winded. I now present to you part 2 of my rant:

Follow that same DS formula for a console and it's over, Nintendo wins. A new way to play games, plus it will be far less expensive than those other guys who all they have is "better graphics." By the way, Sony came out with a handheld named the PSP that had emphasis on graphics and the ability to play multiple media formats and guess what? Nobody cared because they didn't have any must play games on the system. They didn't have any experiences that you just couldn't get any where else. Generic.

There's a little saying out there: "Jack of all trades... master of none." Think about it.
