You'd think that they'd just update the rosters through some sort of download service, but they make everyone pay $60 every year for the same game! Ah, the secret behind EA's success

A lot of cows behind closed doors I'd say :P I'm curious to see how EA's second-generation of next-gen games will turn out. They had their excuse for the crappy 06 titles, but not this time around.

NFL 2k5 is still the best football game to date. The only thing Madden had on 2k was playbooks and money. I will never forgive rEhAsh sports for buying the NFL licence. Just think we could be playing a next gen football game instead of a HD version of xbox 1. I will never understand how people enjoy playing Madden it plays so bad.

Its still the best out there for the nfl license period. Also its a fun game should you care who buys it from who doesn't? There are people that will buy games you never would and the world goes round.

Didnt they release Madden 06 for 360 less than a year ago (like 8 months ago)? Is it time for an update already?

Smarty Pants, last years version was released late in relation to the NFL season as it was a 360 launch title. In reality, last year's version was a demo or beta for this years "complete" version. This is the return to the August release for Madden games which has been the norm over the years. As for NFL 2k5, I felt it was superior to Madden in almost every way. In response to go go's comment about EA rehashing Xbox 1 titles, all I can say is look at what 2k games did for their first batch of games which were Xbox 1 games with redone player models and depth of field camera tricks. That is the only reason 2k was able to offer feature complete titles as oppose to the route EA took - which was offer a built from scratch next-gen title that was rough and incomplete in my opinion. So it would have been more likely 2k would have put out the "rehash" even though it still would arguably been better in many ways.

Though I liked both titles, I enjoyed the simulation of Madden better. I agree, now that so many gamers are online, there should just be online updates. Oh, and they need to scratch the vision cone, I hate it.
