	SCE's hardware department says it is not aware of any PS3 hardware issues affecting a large number of users. The controversy stems from an article on game Revolver, which notes claims that affected machines were displaying a message upon boot that read: "Error 80010514." It went on to say this was due to a bad sector on the HDD of the console, or an issue with firmware installation. Time will tell what is exactly happening here, stay tuned. >Link

i'm definately gonna follow this story. no problems at all with my PS3, but my fingers are crossed...

incoming00: I saw on N4G several links to forums where PS3 owners were complaining. From what I have read it's not a widespread problem yet. But it wouldn't surprise me seeing as how bad Sony's optical media drive problems with the PS1 and PS2 were with thier earlier models. Both of which I was unfortunate enough to experience :(

Did anyone ever heard Rainbow Six freezes on Xbox360 but it doesnt have defected though, never did for my friend X360... yet

The PS3 is my friend. It is flawless.

I've had my PS3 for almost a year now and I've had no problems with it. Of course, the same could be said for my XBox360 Elite.

Has anyone found out if this hardware or firmware, it makes me a little scared to update.

DM - just my thoughts, but Flame Wars should be reserved for personal attacks not reasonable debate, I can't read what Pimp did to deserve a warning? please explain, because I want to understand the rules, thanks
