Braben Speaks Out Against Pre-owned Game Sales >

	David Braben, apparently the founder of Frontier Developments, has spoken out vehemently against the sale of pre-owned games during his talk at the Develop conference in Brighton. He showed a picture of a store window from a Gamestation store, and it was all pre-owned games. He then went on to say if you try to purchase a game that is more than two months old, you will have a hard time finding a brand new copy -- it is all used stuff in retail stores. This is just not true around here, but even if it was, what does he want? He apparently wants developers and publishers to stick it to the already overpaying gamers and make it so game cannot be shared unless they are specially made rental copies. Thanks a ton, Braben. Like we do not pay you enough money already, because the game industry is not doing the best it has ever done in history, right? If you stop selling pre-owned games, you can kiss sales of previous generation games goodbye the day that new hardware is released. Ever think of that, Braben? >Link

Maybe if games were cheaper this would be ok.

I agree this sucks, but this will be the future, the game industry will bypass the game store and have you download the game, this will eventually kill off the second hand market.

one way companies can make more money is if they have a good amount of DLC. its always there to purchase and it doesnt matter who has the copy of the game, and if its used.
