MS To Cut Japanese Xbox360 Prices > |

Microsoft has announced price cuts for the Xbox360 console in Japan to go along with the price cuts here in the USA. The price cuts in Japan are around 30%, with the lowest bundle, the Arcade SKU, to be sold for 19,800 Yen (182 USD). This should help MS build up sales a bit more overseas.

I'm still not sure why MS is bothering with Japan, the Japanese have no interest in a foreign console and I doubt if this will change anything. I would rather see MS try and increase the European Market and reinforce their position in North America.

The Limey: It's just not smart business sense to ignore a major market like Japan. Microsoft is doing fine in the other territories.
Besides if anything they have at least gathered alot more Japanese developer support than last generation thanks to thier presence in Japan.
