Epic's successful Gears of War franchise is far from over, according to Joshua Ortega, one of the series writers. Gears will be "long-term," he said, and could continue for up to ten years. Ortega revealed this at last week's ComicCon in New York City, when speaking about the developer's future plans for the series, and he even compared the game series to the Star Wars movie series in terms of opportunities. When asked if there was any more DLC for Gears of War 2 on the way, he responded "Keep watching... You won't be disappointed."
