Robert Ludlum's estate has re-acquired the rights top the Bourne franchise, following Vivendi's continued selling-off their subsidiary Sierra's assets. Vivendi picked up the franchise back in 2005, and had planned multiple titles, but only released one game this year.

While we just reported that Sierra says Ghostbusters is not canceled, it seems that Activision is all set to sell the developer to Vivendi. It seems that Activision is all set to unload some of its studios to the publishing giant. Activision Publishing CEO Mike Griffith stated that they are looking to sell classic publishing label Sierra as well as its affiliated studios. Oh well. Musical developer chairs is in full effect, it seems.

There have been rumors circulating the net, namely Gamespot and Destructoid<
/a>, that are claiming that the new Ghostbusters game has either been relegated to game limbo, or has been canceled altogether. Well, Sierra made it clear to Destructoid that their information is incorrect, and the game i not canceled, nor will it be. Great news.

Sierra Entertainment today revealed plans to launch the Futures-Past Multiplayer Map Pack, a new downloadable content (DLC) package for TimeShift™ for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft®, available for free download on 9th May 2008. The map pack features five new multiplayer maps for players to unravel while annihilating online enemies with time-bending chrono grenades. Each map presented in the DLC package supports classic multiplayer modes: One-on-One, Deathmatch, and Team Deathmatch, but TimeShift’s exclusive multiplayer modes, King of Time and Meltdown Madness modes reveal the future of multiplayer fragging.

Sierra today confirmed to GS that their upcoming game Prototype has now been pushed until sometime in 2009. The game was originally set for release this fall. The standard "we need more time to make the game better" excuse was used.
