The other great feature of this software is the saves manager. Well, to be honest, it is less of a manager and more of a saves downloading service. As long as your PC is connected to the internet, the saves portion of the software will automatically check Datel's website, www.codejunkies.com, for any PSP saves, and then you can transfer them to your PSP at will. We downloaded the Lumines and Ridge Racers saves provided by Datel and they seemed to work flawlessly. The one thing that was disappointing is that there was only once choice for each save, you either had to take it or that was it. The only improvement we can recommend is that Datel offer 3 or 4 versions of saves, depending on how badly the user wants to cheat. It is hard to tell how far completed the saves are, as some are only 50% and some are 100%. Now, the PS2 version of the software was a bit of a challenge for us to test. First of all we apologize for the crappy screenshot quality of our pics. Our screen cap card crapped out, and we wont have another until sometime next week. That being said, there was not many features of the software to discuss. First of all, it is a complete memory card manager, even if you do not have a PSP. As you can see in the first image, you first choose the device you would like to manage, be it memory card 1, 2 or the PSP. When you select the PSP, you can see the save files you have transferred on to your PSP, and that seems to be all. We did not see any of the video, image, or MP3 files we had on the unit. It seems that the PS2 side of the software is basically for transferring PS2 saves from your PC to your PS2, or storing extra PS2 saves in case you run out of PS2 memory card space. It would be a real cool feature if you could use this software to view video files from your PSP on your TV. Hint hint Datel. The PS2 software it seems is definitely useful, but nowhere near as useful as the PC version. |
