Grand Theft Auto IV Countdown Clock > |
2007/03/02 11:12:35: Posted by DM | |
Just in case some of you have not already heard, we bring this to you. Thursday, March 29, 2007. Free the date, readers. Rockstar has posted a countdown for the release of the first GTA IV trailer. Yes, a countdown for a trailer folks. Until now, we have just been provided with a barrage of blurry, mostly fake, images, and a mountain of rumors. Unfortunately, no word on what platform or resolution the video will be in -- great news anyway, though.

im with nemesis on this one, i can care less what system they show or what city. i just want to see real time rendering
we already know what engine is running the game and have seen it put in use in one game already but im curious to see how the engine will handle a game on the scale of GTA

I'm worried that it won't meet grafx standards of nextgen.
Hopefully its on par with Saints Row......at least.

well there are many aspects of the graphics that people dont keep in context and thus lose understanding to what the standard of next gen should be. look at crackdown for example, many would consider that saints row looks better, however it's a fact that crackdown pushes the 360 harder then saints row.i have said it too many times already but it's still not easy to understand: the art direction will be one of the defining properties for the final look of the game. i dont think we'll be dissapointed.

Keeping my fingers crossed that they find a way to give the series some fresh new ideas. Crackdown doesn't have realistic graphics, but in my mind has upped the ante on fun in a sandbox game.

ok first.. when has GTA had .. good graphics. Never. When have then been so innovative that no one cared. Always. GTA IV will obviously have better graphics, and hopefully they keep their same i dunno.. style of graphics as in the past. GTA is about content/context and story line. Its the best, the rise to the top, the cream of the crop, and i doubt any of us will be disappointed.

I love the graphics in Crackdown, because they are appropriate for that game...and in the same way, I think that Grand Theft Auto's graphics are appropriate for it. Grand Theft Auto 4 will have 720p graphic, with a LOT more polygons! So, it should be great!

I hope its not one those Exels Trailers with someone talking in the background and scroling screenshots.

im also with nemesis, real time graphics
Written by MAKAVELI on 2007/03/03
more important than graphics is the atmosphere of the game..story line , gameplay....in gta the graphics are secondary.

YEAH, they have always had the worst graphics, sandbox or non sanbox
