	Behold the power of the Capcom/SNK/Arc fighting game resurgence. Microsoft has finally heeded the many consumer complaints about the Xbox360 controller D-Pad, and revealed a re-design that fixes the problem. The pad now has an 8-way input, with a larger rocker beneath. The pad is much more tactile, apparently. This is great news in time for the coming slew of fighters. Photos don't show much outwardly, though. >Link

Sweet t1ttys. The best controller this generation just got a whole lot better. That just happened.

See the forum thread for some disappointing news. The controller won't be available in the US (for some reason) and is a limited edition.

F*ck me running sideways Microsoft. Damn. What a tease... Anybody get a chance to try out any of the fighting sticks for the 360. I thought about getting the Hori brand stick.

I've got the Hori DoA4 stick. If you like the japanese style joysticks (short shaft/throw and not very tight), you'll love the Hori controllers. As for me, I'm more of a Happs Ultimate guy (stock stick for the MK games). I purchased a prototype 360 controller box from Arcade-In-A-Box for $40. Had an extra Ultimate stick and some buttons laying around (I've got a few dedicated machines)... threw them in there and hacked a wireless 360 pad... the best combination in my opinion. I find it so much better than the Hori.

LordFlux: You wouldn't be willing to put one of those together for me would you? Or have a pdf with directions? I am tired of these little kids and their arcade sticks whooping my a$$ on SF2 Hyper Fighting on Live. Then they talk sh!t afterwards and I am powerless to do anything about it because I got straight owned...

The controller will make it's way here, just not in the green color. Bookmark and quote me on it.

After materials, parts, labor, and shipping, you'd come out cheaper just purchasing one directly from Arcade-In-A-Box than having me build one for you. Just goto hxxp://www.arcadeinabox.com and click 360 on the left. You can customize it and they have a couple of different boxes to choose from... a slim for lap players and a larger one for floor/table players.

Also, there is a new version of that controller for the Xbox 360 with a Soul Caliber 4 design and artwork on it...it is really awesome!

I was going to say the exact same thing. Microsoft will probably use the exact same color as the traditional Xbox 360 controller, but with a new D-pad.

With this new D-Pad, the Xbox 360 controller will TRULY be BY FAR the BEST controller ever released in gaming history!
