The Warhawk servers just came back online with patch 1.5. The bulk of this update are the Trophies. 56 total are available, with only 40 (from the game itself - no expansion packs) needed to get the Platinum Trophy. Therefore the remaining 16 are award for play within the expansion packs. More details on the trophies themselves after the jump.

According to N4G, Austrian website eLhabib have posted information regarding a new Warhawk update, due at the end of August. Operation Fallen Star will include Jetpacks, and you can also shoot while in the air. The jetpack item name is Icarus Mk. I, random bit of info, but there it is. That is all they posted at this time, so stay tuned, rumor mill for now, but it is likely true.

The GGL is running a Warhawk tournmant in June, but the practice ladders are already forming. There is also a new riddle to solve over at the PS blog in order to get some more info. I will let the blog explain the tourney prizes and such as it is a bit intricate, but cool. Check the link for details.

According to reports that are starting to come in, the Warhawk 1.3 patch is now live and available for download. Grab it now before the rush after work, the size is 55mb.

Just how the PS3 HOME service will integrate with three of the top games for the console has been detailed. Firstly, RFOM will feature rooms that will let players tap into bonus content in the form of intercepted radio transmissions. Uncharted will feature a Naughty Dog portal, of sorts, and will allow the player's HOME avatars to explore the game's levels without fear of being shot at. There will also be a mini-game that is said to be reminiscent of 2D Contra or Bionic Commando. Finally, Warhawk will feature lobbies where up to 8 players can meet before a match and discuss strategies, etc. This is aided by a 3D "sand table" replica of the upcoming map, built to scale and all, and complete with tiny icons to represent player avatars. 1UP is reporting that your favourite shooter on the PS3 will have more DLC and single player coming sooner than we think. Click the link for the interview they took at GDC08.

"As long as the community exists and as long as there is an appetite for playing the game and new content, that's good for us and we want to try to do split deliveries -- you can always get free stuff and you always have to option to buy certain content," "We made a strategic decision to go multiplayer only and I would be against doing a set of single-player expansion packs for Warhawk," said Jobe, but, "if we look at doing single-player in the future [it would be] related to a new product." He also added that Incognito is interested in taking Warhawk beyond the current PS3 title, stating that, "if there is an opportunity that presents itself for us to further the franchise then we'll definitely take advantage of it."

Just an FYI folks, Warhawk, the original game that started it all, is now available for download on the PSN for PSP/PS3 for $5.99. There are also two new games for the PS3 Eye, as well as Toy Home, the toy car racing game (there is a free demo of Toy Home as well, but it is in the demo section, separate from the full game section).

Just a quick FYI folks, if you pop in Warhawk for the PS3 and go to the login, it will ask you if you want to view the new avilable content. Simply pick yes, and you can purchase the Omega expansion a day early! The official servers are not running it yet, but many player servers are! Grab it now before the storm!

As for the credit card info bug, this is something that us here at GR and some of our readers have experienced. In order to change the credit card info on the PS3, it is advisable that you select "REMOVE BILLING INFO FROM ACCOUNT" and then re-add the new credit card from scratch. This is because people's systems have been freezing when they go to update the expiration date for the new CC info. Just a tip, folks, but try it to save yourself trouble.

The first expansion for the PS3 game Warhawk has been dated, at least in the UK. December 20 will be the date, so start practicing, folks. The US release will surely be on the same day, at the latest. The price will be around 9.99 for the US, £3.99 for the UK.

Sony has officially announced the first expansion pack for the online game Warhawk for the PS3. Omega Dawn will be available in December, and it will contain new maps, vehicles, a new night time mode, and more.
