The Wiimote control system is better than what Ubisoft has used for Monster 4X4 World Circuit, and is one area where the title shines through. The game does let you tweak the dead-zone of the Wiimote though, and you can adjust the sensitivity of the Wiimote. The only problem I had with this tweaking system is that there is no way to test the controls before you jump into a race. This is a problem many racers share, though. Unfortunately, no matter how much you tweak the controls, it cannot make up for the game’s lack of depth.

The graphics and visuals on the tracks themselves are dated, to say the least. The different courses do have varying weather effects though, which makes for just enough excitement to motivate you to finish at least one racing tournament. The same can be said for the sound and effects in the game. The engine sounds and track ambient noises are straight out of some race-day sound-pack, and not much innovation went into the audio portion of the game at all.

GT Pro Series is really only for fans who have a deep ingrained need to race cars in a track environment, and cannot stomach the off-road atmosphere of games like Excite Truck. Even then, gamers will find themselves having a hard time coming up with reasons to push on and unlock all the cars in the game. If you want racing on the Wii, you best look elsewhere.
