Rockstar North sources have revealed that the download content promised for the Xbox360 GTA IV game is on track for this November. The content, which is Xbox360 exclusive, will contain at least two more episodes for the game, which equates to about 10 hours of play. No details on exactly what it entails have been revealed. We hope it is killer because MS surely paid for it - 50 million is the rumored number.

This comes from the age-old EGM rumor man Quartermann himself, so definitely it goes in the rumor mill, but the Q-man is usually pretty good. According to him, not only is Rockstar prepping a new game for the PS3, which we sort of knew, but also, Remedy may be ready to start revealing Max Payne 3. MP3 has been rumored in the works for a while, but according to the Q-man it may be time for some hard facts!ts within the next month or so. Great news for MP fans, and it would stand to reason, considering the big screen Max Payne movie is moving along as well. Joint release?

According to Nielsen data, over 17% of the GTA IV sales were to underage gamers, despite the ERSB's crackdown. Oh wait, we are interested in the other bit of data. It seems that 25% of gamers chose the Xbox360 version of GTA IV over the PS3 version, due to the announced exclusive episodic content that is due out at the end of this year. Downloadable extras are really starting to play a part in video games.

A leaked survey that has now been taken down by UGO, the original poster, apparently revealed details about the upcoming GTA Chinatown DS. If the servey is to be trusted, the game will feature an open-world environment, a mature storyline about, what else, a novice gang member who has delusions of grandeur. The game may also include offline multiplayer and co-op, 70 missions, and over 20 hours of gameplay. Rumor mill for now.

GTAS IV has been pulled from the shelves in Thailand following a murder that supposedly was inspiried by the game. A teen robbed and murder a taxi cab driver, and claimed he was acting out a scene from the game. Here we go again, no responsibility for your own actions.

"We are sending out requests today to outlets and shops to pull the games off their shelves and we will replace them with other games... We are also urging videogame arcades to pull the games from service," Sakchai Chotikachinda, sales and marketing director of New Era Interactive Media, told Reuters.

It seems the exclusive Rockstar PS3 game that was touted by the developers about a year ago, is still not in development. In a recent interview on GameTrailers, Tretton himself admits (about 4:18) that they have "nothing definitive to announce" on that subject.

GK: "Last year when you were on the show, you broke a little bit of news about this coming exclusive Rockstar, right? Do we have any update from that, about the next great franchise from rockstar?"

Jack Tretton: I would love to tell you that we do, I hope something is imminent - but it's disappointing that we stand here a year later and don't have anything definitive to announce."

Believe it or not, despite all the hubbub surrounding the infamous "Hot Coffee" fiasco from Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, only 2676 claimants have filed suit against Rockstar. The controversy, which just about shook the pillars of the game industry, has now been reduced to these small numbers of claims which range from $5 to $35, and possibly a fixed copy of the game. This will cost Take-Two $30,000. Take-Two has agreed to make a $860,000 charitable contribution as well. After all that, it ends up like this. What a waste.

According to analysts at the famed Wedbush Morgan, the stellar sales of GTA IV did not actually increase console hardware sales. This directly contradicts claims by both Microsoft and Sony, who both stated that the game increased their hardware sales significantly. We tend to agree with Sony and MS on this one, due to being at places like Gamestop when sales were made.
