PSP 5.05 Firmware Released > |

The new 5.05 PSP firmware has been released -- sort of. The only way to obtain it at this point is by playing the Japanese game Idolmaster. On the UMD is the 5.05 software, apparently. Once before, Sony has released a firmware update on disc, with version 3.96 on the Hot Shots Golf 2 UMD. There is no changelog posted yet, so it may just be a minor, unnecessary update. Stay Tuned.

I haven't updated my firmware since before going to St. Croix last summer. It seems like Sony puts one out every 3 days for the PSP.

its not necessary really unless u are doing homebrew
